Hotties, this next week is going to be really hot (no rain at all for my area this next week). If you are outside for any length of time, be careful not to get over heated and remember to drink plenty of water!

A good reminder. Thanks, Caron! Water sports sounds like a good idea right about now!

Another thought ladies...if you know someone who's air conditioner goes out or they don't have any air conditioning, if they feel they're getting too hot, tell them to run a tub of cool water and climb in it and just sit for a while. This especially applies to older people who are not always aware of how hot it really is.My in-laws come to mind. They are bad about sitting in the house with no AC on (We have to always warn them about that).

My parents are bad about this too. They use a fan on the floor and keep the door closed because they don't want anyone to see in. Then it is a terrible 87 in the house.

Well we're now in a blazing hot, short rain, hot and steamy pattern each day here in my town. The humidity does nothing for my hair but maybe it will give me a moist, dewey complexion! LOL!

I just returned from a weekend in Austin. I love going there, so much to see and do. However it was 102 on Saturday and 105 on Sunday, so hot! We were careful and made sure to drink enough and often.
I enjoyed the weekend, though! We did some sight-seeing and I visited a friend who loves to garage sale and she gave me a dozen tablecloths, several of them vintage! Whoo-Hoo!

We are headed to Galveston this week. I hope the nasty weather stays offshore.

I hope it stays offshore for you too! We had a strong storm come through here today. Lots of heavy rain and lightning for a while there.
