I want to say thanks for all the Sympathy cards. Farmgirl cards are the best!!! They really lift my spirits!
My husband is taking his dad's death hard, he is the oldest son. He was close to his dad. Planning funeral services has changed, something I haven't had to do. So much can be done from your home computer, uploading pictures, choosing music from Spotify, which I love already, you can type in songs from decades way back! and they have them, create your own playlist. I listen to mine while I'm doing computer work, I use the desktop mostly. my hands are so stiff some days, I cant type on the cell phone. Because of covid, it will be two weeks from the day my FIL passed until his service this Tuesday, Sept 21st.
My husband chose Elvis " His hand in Mine" hymns for the visitation. Really pretty.

| Sherry, our nights have been so cool. The days are sunny...but in the 80s. This week is predicted to be a rainy one. I'm in Texas too. But south west of the metro mess by an hour or more. |

Well ladies, I'm really feeling loved. I've received several birthday cards from Denise, Winnie, Carole, Sherry, Debbie and Darlene. Thanks to each of you.
On Wednesday I received a package from Debbie Klann, and it contained a new coffee mug, some cracker jacks and a jar of Montana Wild Huckleberry jam. We had breakfast for supper that evening and enjoyed some of that delicious jam on our biscuits. Yum! Thank you.
Then yesterday, Thursday, I received a box from Sherry. It was full of lots of goodies including an embroidered cup towel, suddenly I was transported back to 1950, to my childhood kitchen where my mother had embroidered all of her cup towels in red...just like the one Sherry sent me. She also sent a sponge kitchen cleaner, a bar of soap that smells heavenly! She sent so many things! Sherry, thank you!
Then today my husband brought the mail in and set it down. I totally forgot about it, I was in a lot of pain, had some advil in me and was in my comfy chair with my lap dog. So later in the afternoon I realized the mail was here. A box from Darlene! Oh my goodness. She sent me some little trick or treat candies, some cracker jacks, some constant comment tea, some pretty napkins, a broach, a coaster and a teddy bear to hug! I love teddy bears.Thank you Darlene.
