This was Shannon's update yesterday... Hi all! As all of you probably know, today was dressing change day for Aly. This process is pretty traumatic for Aly, from the get go. She is fearful of the pain that is possible, as well as the sight of the burns... and I certainly cannot blame her! Due to not having any of the biobrane on her hand and shoulder, the result of removing the bandages from those two areas is further debridement... and thus pain. We took pictures and sent them to the burn center. They are pleased with how they are looking, and said we need to continue doing dressing changes every other day and send them pictures. We do not have to take her back in until next Wednesday. I am looking forward to seeing the improvements!!! We serve an amazing God!

Thank you all for the prayers!!!

Many Blessings- Alicia #5232

I'm just catching up on everything. Shannon I'm praying for little Aly, such a beautiful child! I'm sure happy to see her healing is progressing. Also praying for you, this is so hard on a mother's heart. But He is with you, and blessing you every step of the way.

Alicia, I'm overjoyed for you. It's a rare and beautiful thing when dreams come true!

Happy Day!

Sorry guys! I kinda fell off the earth for the last week ;) Aly is doing quite well! The rawness is basically gone, though there is obviously some healing still to happen. She is such a trooper and Gid is definitely blessing and healing! Tomorrow we go and get the staples out of my son's head... Not sure if I put that on here or not... Last Tuesday night, he (4 yo) and my 12 yo were goofing around... He fell back and busted his head open, needing two staples.

I have come to the realization that God uses these medical things to draw me closer to Him. When it is some other type of problem, I focus on finding the solution. When it is a medical type issue, I focus on Him. Now to start focusing on Him at other times, so He does not keep using medical stuff to shake my world ;)

Shannon, So glad to hear your littles are healing! I know what you mean about the medical stuff and God getting your attention. I feel that way too sometimes. Need to get my focus where it needs to be.

I am asking prayer for a church family. Don a good friend is dying of cancer a Tcell cancer which is going fast through his body. He came down with one last year and he and his wife went down to Santa Barbara for a clinic to use a trial drug and it worked and then they came back home up here in Ferndale then several months later he had a different lump which the dealt with up here but then he got a painful rash which they said was part of the Tcell cancer and so they went back down to Santa Barbara where they tried their experimental drug on it. It moved to fast and they said it wasn't going to work so they are down there still with their family and he is still in the hospital waiting for the Cancer to take its course. They said it was moving very fast through his body.
He knows the Lord which is helping them all but still very painful and for his wife Eunice as well.
Thank you.

Well the update on Don is that they are going to put him on big pain medication so that he doesn't feel it and take him over to a Hospice facility. They don't give him much time but he is dealing with well. His wife Eunice is ok but not sure how she is dealing, but at least she has family close to her.
Thanks for all your prayers.

hugs and love
