Connie, sending prayers for both of you! This has been such a long bout of sickness for you and hubby. I hope things start to improve very soon!! Poor guy, must be weary from just being in hospital and so sick for two weeks.

Rex came home Sunday afternoon. I made a pot of Veggie Soup, he can't have cornbread right now, he had a Bagel. Holly brought Lily june over for a little while, he hasn't seen her in 2 weeks, that cheered him up and she was asking him if he wanted her to get him something to drink from Ganny, I was in the kitchen cooking soup. He slept 10 hours last night. He sooo needed the rest. In the hospital, as ya'll know, you can't rest! There were always bells and beeping going on those monitoring machines. Blood being drawn, giving medications. He will see his Dr. on about 10 days to set up that probe of his Pancreas. It was a bad attack, how it has left him so weak and he lost 18 pounds in 2 weeks. Thanks for your prayers!!
Hugs! Connie

I'm so happy to hear that he is home :)! Is his diet very restrictive? He sure doesn't want to go through that again, wow the weight loss!! I'm sure he is weak, just being in the hospital that long would make him weak, then the weight loss on top of that! Glad he got some good rest last night, nice and dark and quiet.. ahhhhh!
Praying you both have a very restful night tonight as well!
Hugs and prayers continue

Hi gals, Can I please request prayer for my hubby. He has one of his carotid arteries that is going to have to be stented soon. He sees our cardiologist this thursday for clearance to have the procedure done by a vascular surgeon. What they are going to do is called a TCAR, less invasive than the major surgery to open the artery. His diabetes is not very well controlled right now, which could be another issue. We are both scheduled for cataract surgery in January, mine starts on the 7th. Looking forward to being able to see clearly once again )! We just have a lot going on right now!
thanks a bunch

Ruth, prayers for you and your husband.
Connie Rex will improve quickly at home. Just being able to sleep in your own bed, just being in your own nest with loved ones around is the best medicine. I'm sure he is comforted by the sounds, so familiar to him...your voice, you puttering about, getting ready for Christmas, your beautiful displays, etc.
God bless you both.
(A visit from his special Lily June and her mom too! He had a healing cup of good cheer.)

Connie - so happy Rex is home and able to rest with you as his caregiver. Did you get home health care scheduled so you don't have to do it all?

Ruth - Prayers for you and your husband.

Ruth, Praying for both you and your husband for these surgeries coming up.

Would appreciate if you all could pray for me as I hurt my back and it is making my ribs sore. Hard to breathe in deeply and to sleep at night. (no comfortable postion) It has been a week and it is getting better but still not making things easy to get done.

Linda,
Thank you so much for your prayers. I have back trouble anyway but I think this may have involved more of my rib area. Won't do it again that's for sure! Hurts to take a deep breathe. Thankfully my daughter has been helping out.

Connie - How did Rex's appointment go? How are you feeling? Continuing to pray!

Ruth - Praying for you and hubby!!! Thankful they are getting him in for his heart surgery fairly quickly!

Denise - Oh that sounds so painful!!! Praying for a quick recovery!!! What a blessing that your daughter has helped with the cleaning and stuff!

Things here are rough... 15 years ago, yesterday, I lost one of my dearest friends, so this time of the year is always a little hard. But add to that, this is our first year without Brad's dad here on earth. Our hearts are so heavy!!!

Also asking prayers for our neighbors. The hubby is having troubles with his alcohol intake. Last night the wife hit a couple deer and called us to come pick her up. Her hubby, who had already been drinking, also drove out with the children in the truck. His wife refused to go home with him in the truck and had the two young children get out as well... and we took them home. Hubby was livid. Please pray for wisdom for all involved, and comfort for the children as they are torn between their parents. Please pray for wisdom for us - that we are as involved as we need to be, but also the wisdom to know when to stay out of it! She knows we are here if she needs us... I just pray she will use us if she does need to!

Prayers for all. Thankful for the improvement in Rex. Denise I had no idea you hurt yourself. I'm sorry you are suffering. Do you have a recliner? My ribs hurt every night and some nights I sleep in the recliner! My husband is finally not complaining about his sore ribs, from his wreck two weeks ago today. Shannon...please be careful with that neighbor. Alcohol can certainly mess some folks up. I never drank, because I saw my mother's relatives, when I was a kid.
Ruth I hope you and your husband can enjoy Christmas as you await the surgeries.
I'm also glad that we have our farm girl sisters who believe in God, who pray for each other as well as our families and friends!
Please, if you must travel this Christmas, invite my co pilot to accompany you on your trip. His name is God. He has saved me so many times!
God bless you all! I love you!

I tried the recliner last night but couldn't last in it. So used to sleeping flat.
