It is an in-office surgery. They go down 1 layer at a time. I just pray it’s not a large hole in my nose when he is done. Thank you for the prayers.

More prayers, please. I need to have another mammogram and a sonogram on right breast. Had mammogram on Monday and they want another. This is same thing that happened last year and after all tests and biopsy they said everything was fine.

Yes, Darlene, they go down in layers. If there is sign of cancer at edges they go another layer. I had this done on other side of nose about 20 years ago and had to have a skin flap (plastic surgery) done to cover hole.

Seems if it’s not one thing it’s another.

I think he went outside. I had the front door open and light on. Didn’t hear it anymore!

I hope it’s gone. Love you all!

Thanks for the prayers. I really appreciate all the good vibes from you. Please keep them coming.

After surgery, the doctor called us in and told us that there are two types of basal cell cancers: one clumps like grapes and the other is a scattering one. Unfortunately, mine is the scattering kind, and this means that surgery, alone, cannot get all the cancer cells. After this heals he says I will have to have radiation to hopefully get more of the cancer cells that have not clumped together. This is scary, too. In addition, this hole in my nose is fairly large - and depending on how it heals, I may need some plastic surgery to repair.

One thing that is upsetting to me - when I had this surgery on the other side of my nose around 20 years ago, the doctor also sent me home with a large hole. I immediately went to a plastic surgeon and had a flap surgery to cover the hole. This time the doctor says to let this heal and see how it heals and only then decide on surgery or not. I feel that this means I have to heal TWICE - once for this surgery and once for the repair, if needed (and I feel it will be needed).

So right now I'm probably driving Ed nuts, because I am NOT in a good mood. And I'm so upset I am not hungry and not eating - some diet!

Yeah, Linda, I don't blame you!!! I would NOT be happy, either! Do you have to follow his advice this time and let it heal first? Did he give you a reason why he wants you to do it this way this time??

He said it may heal fine on its own. I know he has done a lot of these surgeries - that is what he does. He has seen many of these and may well know how they heal. It just scares me - having to wait and see what happens. AND to have to go through another surgery if it does need repair. All these IFs are upsetting to have to wait and see. I'm not a patient patient.

Well, I guess you can just tell yourself that he might just be right and you won't end up having another surgery. That would be nice! We'll just pray that it will turn out just that way.

Linda,
My dad had some on his cheek and it was deep so they couldn't do surgery. He had radiation and were able to take care of it that way. Prayers for complete healing for you.

Linda, if I were you I would get several boxes of Panacur C or Safe-Guard and take 1/4 teaspoon every day for eight weeks, then do the three days on and four days off for eight more weeks. Of course you will have to tell your doctor why you want to "delay" radiation. You probably won't even need it.

Ladies we have had some experience with cancer in our family. In fact my son and Baylee are the only ones who have not had it. About 10 years ago my hubby had a skin cancer on his left temple. The doctor cut on it,three times, each time cutting away more tissue and going deeper each time. At that point he had to see the surgeon. So he is scarred, but not disfigured. The next one was on the back of his neck. So we ordered Indian Mudd. It is sticky & black, but after treating it twice within a week the cancer fell out! Yes he had a small hole, but no blood, and within a couple of days the hole was filled in with cancer free skin.
About three months ago he had another place. Once again be used the Indian Mudd, and once again, it worked. Due to his history with bladder cancer, some twenty years ago and his skin cancers...he is taking the dog wormer now with me. Indian Mudd comes from www. altcancercream.com

There is one other product that we keep. It comes from Herbal Healer.com. It is called 4- Herb Tea. It comes in four baggies, each holds a different herb: Burdick root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm bark, and Turkey Rhubarb Root. The package says it is Immune Support. One set of babies makes 2 gallons. I divide the ingredients into two batches. You cook it in Distilled water. The instructions come with it. This is what Wade had me make and bring to the hospital for Hadlee, after I contacted the company and explained her situation. Her doctor approved it!
We bought two brown half gallon jars to keep it in. Light is not good for it.

The problem with this type of cancer is that unless they do biopsy layers, which means more cutting, the cancer cannot be seen in an x-ray.
