Marlee your plate has been very full...
Prayers for you and your family.
Have you tried cannabis oil (CBD) for your knees?
My son has two bad knees and he takes Green Roads cbd oil twice daily.
He is pain free...unless he forgets to take it or runs out.
God bless you Marlee.

Marlee, you gave me such a good laugh when I read this about you and your husband not being able to remember the words to your wedding song!!! We just need to remind ourselves that we are all in this aging business TOGETHER...and it's ok!!!
Ruth, how are your treatments going?

Darlene, it is good to hear from you and I am glad you finally got a new surgeon so that you can move forward with your knee replacement and then get strong and go home. Keep us posted when you can and take care.

Marilyn where can you get the cannibas oil. It is very much worth a try.
Debbie, singing I got You Babe, it was fun. My nieces and nephews thinks it so funny. They can see Sonny and Cher on You-Tube. Truthfully hubby can sing better than I do. His family is very Talented. Several years ago my sister in law has a cassette recording of gospel songs, so she can sing. She did it locally and for her own enjoyment. But her step brother is Gospel Recording Manager in Nashville. Morgan Cryar if anyone has heard of him.

Oh I am keeping everyone in my prayers on here. It has been very trying here to say the least. So am hoping to get back on here a lot more often. I miss my sisters greatly. So that what is happening . Right now it is Hot Chocolate time. We have had some cold weather. Love and Hugs.

God is so good to us. Just the fact that we can get up each morning, get out of our nest and walk to the bathroom to pee. ( We have a friend, a guy, who is having so much trouble peeing, and yes he goes to his doctors regularly.) God is still good to him and his wife and his whole family.God is so very patient with we humans...because he does not want anyone to go to hell. So thank you God for all of our hen house sisters. Please keep us healthy and safe. Please keep our families healthy and safe also. In Jesus name, Amen.

My radiation treatments are over, but since they ended on Tuesday, my nose and cheek has gotten progressively redder and more sore. The inside of my nostrils crusts up during the day and at night; the bleeding when I have to blow my nose has diminished, but my nose is very sore.

Sorry to vent - Don't you just love doctors. My PCP and the radiation dr. said to use Silvadene 2x a day; the dermatologist said NO he never prescribes Silvadene. He said not to use anything with a fragrance (which I wasn't) and to use Vaseline and only Vaseline. So - I tried using the Vaseline and it was more irritating. So last night I started using the Silvadene. No matter which I use, my cheek is red, itchy and burning most of the time; it feels rough and tight - I know that is from the radiation burn. I use Ocean Spray Saline solution in my nose but that isn't helping the crusting. This is frustrating, and yes, this, too shall pass, but I want it to pass NOW! LOL! Ed is good at getting me to veg out and relax, but I hurt and don't like that.

Oh Linda, I am sorry the burns from the radiation treatments are so painful. You have every right to vent! Hopefully the Silvadene will give some relief as well. Have you tried putting a little Vaseline on a little finger and gently coating the inside of your nose to help the crusting issue? I don't think it would hurt you and it might help keep things softer while the entire mucosal lining replaces and heals itself. Sending you extra prayers for healing soon.

Prayers to you and your family Marlee. I hope things are improving .

Linda, if you want to try another product...I found this on Amazon. It is called Radiation Relief Cream and is $28.95 for a six oz. Tube. It is made from Calendula Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Organic Therapeutic Lavender oil, and Shea butter. All natural ingredients...formulated by an Oncology Nurse. It said it is a cooling treatment for painful radiated areas. $28.95 for a six oz. Tube.
I remember that one of Dr. Hancock's nurses told me she was quitting. She was so sweet, and I asked why??? She said she loved working with us, but in order to do more than taking patients in etc. She had to return to school full time. So this was an RN, giving up her job to learn and be trained to be a highly specialized oncology nurse.

Thank you for all the prayers. Yes, it is painful. I hope it stops getting redder soon. My cheek feels a funny smooth-dry-stretched feel. To me, it feels like I think a scar would feel. I don't like it! lol

Linda,
Have you ever heard of Aquaphor? It is very good for healing and the burning feeling. I'm not sure about putting in the nose. I am praying healing will go well and quickly for you.

Yes, Denise, I have Aquaphor with 2% Lidocaine that the radiation doctor gave me after some of my treatments. I was going to call tomorrow and make sure I could use it between the 2 treatments of Silvadene. The burn on my cheeks feels more like it is chapped, than burnt.

Thank you, Connie.

I hope you find something to give you relief Linda. Especially with going on a trip soon. It sure would be good if you could figure out ahead of time what will work to make you more comfortable.

Thanks. Me, too. Will be very uncomfortable on a plane for 12 hours if I am having trouble with my nose. I am hoping that this clears up quickly so it is long gone when we leave in 3 weeks and 3 days.
