I am always amazed that surgeries are successfully preformed on tiny babies every day. My sister has worked in the heart Cath lab at Medical City in Dallas for years. Part of her job was to set up for procedures on newborns, and assist in the procedure. God is good.

Thank you so much for the prayers everyone. Grandpa's funeral was the longest service I've ever attended. It was wonderful! So many stories shared, songs sung...so much LOVE!

We got definite news on the farm today. We are still going to be able to purchase for the 120k. Apparently, the CPA forgot he was going to tweak the numbers some since we plan to pay cash, and he doesn't seem to care to be reminded. The good news is that DH's family isn't trying to raise the price!

Wonderful news here today!

Shannon, will continue to keep Jessie and Blake in prayer.

Alicia,
That is fantastic that you are going to get the farm! So happy for you.

No matter how things turn out, God is good. Like Shannon said nothing of these things that happen are a surprise to him.
We just have to wait to find out the ending!

I posted this on the main forum, but am copying and pasting it here...

This morning, Aly, our two year, tried to help in the kitchen. Sammi was making me a cup of tea, while Brad was working on breakfast. In the process, Aly dumped a scalding hot cup of water/tea (apparently the tea bag had not made it to the mug yet) down her left side. She has second degree burns from her left shoulder to her finger tips, as well as her left rib cage. She was taken to MUSC ER via ambulance. They scrubbed the dead skin off, in efforts to reduce risk of infection, and bandaged her up. On Monday we start seeing the burn center.

Our family greatly appreciates your prayers through this! We have no idea, as of yet, what we are looking at as far as healing time frame, dressing changes, etc. But our Father in Heaven does! And we are comforted knowing once again that this did not come as a surprise to Him, and He has it all under control!

Hugs for you and your family Shannon. Children are amazing and Jesus loves them so much. After the initial pain subsides, hopefully her cheerful HAPPY self will be back. Healing in the very young is so much quicker than in older folks. Just remember you are almost family and we all care. Yes we are praying.

I am finding that the more I type about Aly right now, the more emotional I am becoming, so I am going to try to be very matter of fact... Yesterday we took her to the burn center... they scrubbed the blisters and skin off her hand and redressed all the burnt areas. I will be doing the dressing changes starting tomorrow, every other day, as well as taking pictures and emailing them in... if we need to take her in, they will let us know. We are having struggles getting and keeping her comfortable. Please continue to pray!
