Denise, I didn't realize CRs birthday was the same day as his little fella! Loved that photo of him making Waffles :)! That needs a frame! Happy Birthday to your hubby today! It is Birthday Month for your family. That is like October for our family

Ruth, they had her scheduled for c section on his papa's birthday but CR asked if they could change it. Lol. She went into labor at around midnight on the first and they did the c section on the 2nd. So it would've been his dad's birthday anyway.

Once upon a time when I had a hollow legged son there were some Italian brothers with a pizza place in a Fort Worth mall, and they made yummy cheesy Calzones as well as pizzas. Wade and I looked forward to eating there...or if we had cousins along who wanted Mexican food that day...well we would buy three for supper...two for him and one or half for me. Makes me hungry just remembering.

Today I am celebrating my grandmother and my niece. My grandmother passed in 1968 when I was young but my niece who is 26 was fortunate enough to be born on my grandma's birthday.
Today is also:

Of course since it is cold enough I have been celebrating for quite awhile wearing my flannel jammies!

I wanted to learn. My husband gave me a guitar for Christmas one year. Then the girls had to have one each...none of us ever learned well. I need to try again.

Thanks for the reminder.

My dad and sons in law play as well as my brother and nephew
But we have a few piano players and a violinist so well be prepared if any of those days come up. JT's grandma used to bring her guitar to the family reunions and play.

I read in the current February issue of Martha Stewart that in the 1930s and 1940s, Sweethearts would buy heart embroidered linen and cotton handkerchiefs with heart patterns and mail them to their loved ones. Check out his photo I found on the internet.

Do any of you have any vintage hankies with hearts? If so, can you share a photo with us? This year, I am going to be on the lookout for these heart hankies and find a recipient for one next year. What say you? Doesn't this sound like a true blue Farmgirl tradition?

I don't think I have one of those, Winnie, but I, too, will be on the lookout for them. I'm off to eBay now.
