If we hadn't had our motor home break down yesterday (we spent the night in a WalMart parking lot) I might have had a float. I love them. I am sure at some time I did wiggle my toes. LOL!

Today I am celebrating the "Season of Long Shadows" my favorite time of the year. Shadows are growing longer as they creep across my yard. By winter they will be at there longest. Then in the spring they grow shorter until by summer the shadows are almost gone. So I sit and look out my window at the encroaching shadows surrounding my house and marvel at the sight the Lord set in motion all those eons ago when he created the earth, and set in motion the "Season of Long Shadows".

Sara, that is neat. I had never heard October referred to as that.

I love the Moon of Red Grass...November in Texas. Since I drive these gravel roads so much, I see lots of bright red shumakes and dark red grasses.

Just srub brush, small trees with long slender dark green leaves that turn red in autumn. I probably spelled it wrong!
