SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20th

National Day on Writing
Might be nice to celebrate by writing someone a note or card of encouragement

International Sloth Day
Not exactly sure how this day would be celebrated unless there is a group to donate to in order to get those sloths moving a little!

When Hadlee fell in love with sloths, she tried to talk her dad into the idea of building for her a mini rain forest so she could have a sloth as a pet. Immediately his mathematical brain kicked in...and soon he explained to her it was not going to happen!!!

I don't think the month is long enough to celebrate all of them.
Have a safe trip. Enjoy!

Today was my daddy's birthday. If he were alive he would be 109 years old. He died at age 60 from cancer. Our son was only 6 years old.
Shadow, the grey pit bull dog must have followed our son into the house at lunch, but stopped in the utility room. He remembers that a very mean kitty lives here. Once when he was
tiny I brought him inside, Mr. Twister got very upset. Shaddy has never forgotten!

October 29th is:
National Internet day
Since the year 2005 the International Internet Day has been famously celebrated to commemorate a momentous day in the history of telecommunications and technology.

National Cat day
A day when everyone gives their cat(s) a little extra love.

National Oatmeal day
This is something there is always a way to use.

Marilyn,
Some days I have to look up the date because they all seem to blend in together. But since I have had to start doing more office work for JT since his accident, I've been trying to stay on top of my days. LOL. I have to write a lot of things down to remember.

At my house every day is cat day.
After retirement I started loosing track of days. One day is pretty much like another and they all run together. My daughter in law gave me a wall clock that only has the days of the week on it. It really does help when I remember to look at it first thing in the morning. It has cut down on the number of missed appointments.

Don't feel bad! Most days I must look at my phone to see the number of the day. Funny thing tho is keeping the week straight, when there is a holiday or a long weekend.

Oh, I forgot we have one reason to celebrate! Bay finished her clinicals yesterday! I may be more excited than she is, because she no longer has to get up at 4:00am and drive over an hour to get to the hospital by 6am. She has class once a week, lots of quizzes, etc before graduation in early December.

That is a reason to celebrate! I remember my Granddaughter's long road to getting her RN. I was so happy I cried at her graduation. It was a beautiful ceremony.

October 31
Today is not only Halloween but also,
National Doorbell Day
National Caramel Apple Day
National Knock-Knock Jokes Day
National Magic Day
Girl Scout Founder’s Day

I am sure in for Caramel Apple day but I'm going to have some fun with the grands and pull out my knock knock joke book! I am not surprised they made Magic day fall on this day. Girl Scout Founder's day brings back loads of memories. I'm sure I mentioned before my mom was a scout leader.

Judith I was so surprised when I saw a picture of my friends pinning. She had dark hair, and standing beside her new husband she appeared to be little, short. In reality she has grey hair, is probably 5'10" , a mom three times and a grandma five times. Also a retired nurse but quite active still.

It is a book we used to get for the reference department at the library I worked at. It comes out every year and lists all the daily, weekly, and monthly celebrations.

Oh that's interesting. I've never heard of it. I look up the National days online.

Today Nov. 1st is

National Author day. Will gladly celebrate with a good read!

National Men Make Dinner day.
Hmm. Wonder how many are aware of this?

National Calzone day.
At least those men know what to make. Lol.

I missed National Homemaker's day yesterday. They call it house wife but most women aren't married to their house. LOL

Today is:
National Chicken Lady Day
National Candy Day

I think I can celebrate both today!
