Of course today is Veterans Day here in the U.S. I am grateful for each and every person who fought for our freedoms here.
I am also extremely grateful for the families of our service men and women. Having been one of those families I know firsthand what it is to be the one who keeps the home fires burning and raising children alone some times for many months at a time.
I also feel for those who have children and miss out on so much due to deployments and such. Honestly that is why JT decided to leave the military. He was tired of missing out on all the firsts and milestones.
Happy Veterans Day and may we give honor where honor is due.

Denise~~

Yes, Veterans Day is a very important time to remember those who have served and who gave their life for our country. We have always been blessed, as a nation, that our fellow countrymen and women have stepped forward to serve.

World Kindness Day...I love it. I need to remember to not only practice kindness on the outside, but on the inside, with my thoughts as well. Especially when I am tired or irritated. We don't know what others are going through and it takes nothing to be kind, even if it's not reciprocated. It's such a good feeling to make someone smile!

Debbie, I know what you mean about the thoughts. I have to scold myself for them sometimes, then wonder where they came from.
World Kindness Day should last all year.

Darlene, have you heard this saying... " Bloom where you are planted! "?
At this time in your life you are handicapped. So you can do email, snail mail, etc. Then when you get your new knee, the sky is the limit. God bless you!

Marilyn, that phrase has always captured my attention too because it is so correct! Sometimes we cannot change our circumstances and so we must learn to roll with the "bumps". I know I have often found out that blooming where you are planted can be the best possible outcome and way more than you ever anticipated. Attitude is everything!
