Our Abundance of Miracles
By Dianne Cogar
A miracle is a harvest moon,
It's blushing hues that fade too soon
It's a sunrise at the break of day

and the warming rays that come our way!

A miracle is a flower in bloom,
And its soothing fragrance that rids us gloom;
A new born kitten, a butterfly-

An innocent child...a rainbow sky!

These miracles before us everyday
Are seen so vivid in many a way-
Such precious gifts from God with care,
Reminding us...He's always there!

A miracle is the greatest thing,
And this an angel's soul will sing-
To share God's heart through sight and sound...
So many abound us, just look around!

Have a great Thursday everyone

Today is the birthday of one of my favorite historical figures, Daniel Boone. Born not too far from where I live, I just admire anyone who is brave enough to just go exploring!

Darlene, the poem you shared was awe-inspiring!

Happy Day!

Happy birthday to ole' Daniel! I love watching Fess Parker as Daniel even though I know the shows are made up. We had a book about him that my son used for school. It was very interesting.

Happy Sandwich day!

History of the Sandwich:

The annals of English history report that John Montagu was the 4th Earl of Sandwich. Among other things, the 4th Earl of Sandwich was a heavy gambler. Montagu often spent many long hours in London's gambling parlors. In 1762, he created the sandwich, by putting meat between two pieces of bread. This allowed him to remain at the gambling table for long periods of time. Obviously, the sandwich was named after him. (quote: www.holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/November/sandwichday.htm)

Don't forget to eat your favourite sandwich today! If you are game for a change, be bold and daring..... try a new sandwich!

Happy Sandwich Day!!!

That other candy corn sounds good to Sherry, I don't remember if there were other flavors when I got that one.

It is wonderful that things are looking better for you Jami, keep strong.

Yesterday, of course, was Veteran's Day. So many of our vets are struggling with homelessness, PTSD and other traumas from their service. Let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers!
