November swap will be simple. Send your partner a card telling what you are thankful for and also a pretty dishtowel with a favorite Thanksgiving recipe. We can all use an extra towel I'm sure during the preparing or cleaning up of our Thanksgiving dinner.

We will keep sign up open until the 9th. Partners posted on the 10th and mail out by the 14th.

I thought we'd do this a little differently this time and do it like a round robin.

I thought I'd work it as follows:

Sherry sends to Shannon.
Shannon sends to Denise
Denise sends to Sandra
Sandra sends to Winnie
Winnie sends to Linda
Linda sends to Darlene
Darlene sends to Carole
Carole sends to Connie
Connie sends to Ruth
Ruth sends to Julie
Julie sends to Amy
Amy sends to Sherry

Thought it would be fun to change it up a little.
Have fun and happy cooking everyone!

Denise~~

Denise maybe something really simple.
Paper napkins for Thanksgiving or
A card saying what we are thankful for or
A tag or ATC
A mug rug and tea or coffee and a cup or
just a dish towel ( who could not use an extra one while cooking Thanksgiving dinner )

Just some suggestion.

What about sharing something that the person could use at their Thanksgiving dinner? A canned item from the summer's harvest, a set of cloth napkins for the table, paper goods if someone specifies that they use that option with their family, a cute creamer for the table for dessert/coffee time etc. Whatever we send, it would be something that the person can use and we will have the ability to "be with our Farmgirl HenHouse friend and her family.

Lovely ideas, and I'd like to participate if you decide to do it, as long as we keep it simple! I'd probably be inclined to a one-item swap, like so many of the suggestions made so far. I hate to miss a swap in our henhouse!

Happy Day!

I like the idea of a card sharing what we are thankful for and something to remind us of our henhouse sister. How about just the card and one item that can be used for Thanksgiving? Should we be more specific like the paper napkins or would you prefer each one decides what to send?

I am good with whatever is the final decision. Like others, I am in favor of keeping it real simple since there are so many other swaps going on and the holidays are upon us.

This final idea sounds great, Denise! Looking forward to the swap.

Hi Sandra! So good to hear from you. Does France have any sort of Thanksgiving day that happens nationally each year?

So, here I am attempting to stay ahead of the game .... So I go into town to shop for the things I need for this swap and guess what? All the stores I went to for a cute Thanksgiving towel informed me that all of these items (there's nothing left) were marked on clearance - all gone. You're talking nothing left in the kitchen/dishware department for Thanksgiving, not even a paper napkin! Can you all see my SHOCK FACE?

Better start shopping for potential Christmas swaps, just in case while it's out there!
