I know December is a very busy month for all. I thought instead of a swap we could maybe find some thing in our local area we could do to reach out to others during this month. Our family likes to get a family from the Salvation Army whom we can do Christmas for or go to the nursing home and get ideas for what is needed there for people. Is anyone interested in something like this? It means so much to people to be remembered.

I know I personally CANNOT do any more swaps right now! I am so far behind, and am trying to get those done so I can make my own family their gifts! Our church does a gift tree every year, and we will be getting gifts for that, be it for a family or for residents of a nursing home again.

Good idea Denise. We have several community opportunities at our church I can choose from. Plus, I am very behind in my own family gift making. Seems this year, everyone wants wool socks and gloves and I have a ways to go before I complete everything!

Our church works on the clothes closet and food closet and then makes up gift baskets for community members.

The church I work with in Loleta during Bible Study works on gift baskets as well so I kind of help on both places and really enjoy doing this.

Thanks for a great idea Denise.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done.
Philippians 4:6

Just follow God unquestioningly.
Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.
