Glad to read that everyone is okay despite the weather. As anyone heard from Marlee? She's in Louisianna.

Gorgeous day today! A bit chilly but I'll take it. I did put my winter coat away for a few days but needed to take it back out. No sense being cold!

Unseasonably cool here this week. Started up the furnace again.
Linda, sounds like you had a great time on the airboat.

It is cold in my house. The thermometer says 69°, and outside in the sunshine it feels a bit warm, but in here with Windows open...fresh air!!!

Cold and rainy here, too. It's so distressing to hear about all the dangerous storms in the west and mid-west. I've been praying for everyone!

Happy Day!

So here we are on our second week of May and we are still having rainy, cloudy days. Hopefully this will help the gardens though I have yet to get anything done there yet.

There were 2 tornadoes north of us yesterday in Paris, TX, and several up in Oklahoma. They were supposed to hit here, and luckily they went more north than east.

One farmgirl many of you might know, Sara Knight, lives in Paris, and I have been unable to contact her via email or cell phone. But I am sure the lines that are still up are very busy right now. My DIL volunteers with the Red Cross, and she said that the reports on the news last night were a bit exaggerated

Marilyn - I've had my windows open, too, but they may get closed today - it is supposed to get to the high 80s. LOL! There is almost always a breeze where I am, so that is always good.

Gorgeous day today! A tad cool at the moment but it will warm up!

I've been keeping track of the weather! Goodness it's insane. My heart goes out to the Province of Alberta. Those fires are ... intense! I'm also particularly concerned with California. There has been a few articles on the web about how the fault line is prime for a rumble, to put it mildly!

Off to play catch up! Cheers!

The fires are very frightening. My uncle and cousin can see the fault line from their kitchen window, it is about five miles away. My cousin. Says they rumble a lot, small quakes every day. That would drive me nuts!

I do not know about the gardens. My DIL put some little plants she had started, in the little garden, rich soil. They have sat there a month and grown a tiny bit. This is not normal at all.

. We have had some big earthquakes here, God has been good to us They are scary to be in, but Alaska has more quakes and Volcanoes that are moving constantly. and now Mt St Helen, in Washington State, is starting to rumble and swarm with quakes. Time will tell for all of them. We just need to be as prepared as we can for them and all the other events happening around our Country. anyway.
The weather here has been so pretty, sure perked me up today.
I got some things done. Love the blue sky easy winds and sun.....

It has been so awfully hot and humid here today. Miserable sticky weather. Now my phone alerts are going off with severe thunderstorm warnings. Add to that a sick horse, very sick. My son is trying to save him. I am praying that God will keep his family safe as they work with the pretty horse.

UGH, YES! So hot and humid! And the warnings are here, too.

Prayers for the horse to get better.

Our temps dropped from the lower 90s to 69 cool windy degrees. So far we have not seen any hail larger than peas, but this is a slow moving system. Long evening ahead. The horse will be ok. Thank God, and the humans are also safe.

i am glad you didn't get the hail, from some of the hail I have seen on Facebook, they were huge! I don't remember seeing such big hail growing up.
I am really glad the horse is going to be ok, for big animals they are really kind of fragile.

Take care

Last night in the winds here I lost another piece of a tree in the backyard. Part of it came down earlier this year in another wind storm. And I found my roof vent fan in two places in the backyard. Joy, joy. LOL!

I will agree, the winds with these storms are bad. It is building g again and I can hear distant thunder. It was almost funny last night. We got a warning until 11pm for severe thunder storms. It was not over at 11. My phone stayed busy alerting for more, until 1:15, then 1:45. When it kicked off again, at 3am, equally as bad as the first one, I guess the weather guesses had given up and we only got like a "heads up"! So far no large hail, thank you GOD. Tonight will be the third rainy night out of eleven we are predicted to have. It was not nearly so hot today. Yesterday I was afraid we might get twisters with the heat a d humidity. God was good to us.
