I made a quick trip.back to town to mail two swaps. PO closes at 11:30am on Saturdays.
I got there at 11:20. Whee!
A young lady held the door open as a gust of wind almost knocked me over. We were too close.
The PO had yellow tape on the floor and a sign that I should stay behind the line. I did. She pushed the buttons for each package. But she told me to insert my card. That meant I had to step over the line...so she backed up. But she handed me the receipt. I was back home quickly...so little traffic. Wow. That was nice.

Has no one had any weather this month? My post on March 28th is the last one until now!
We had a super windy day today. It was so cool this morning and up until about two pm.
I saw my son this evening and I asked if they got the house they are building decked. He said almost, only thirty more minutes to finish that part. I said that I thought of them and prayed for him throughout the day. It is dangerous to handle 4' x 8' pieces of decking in a strong wind. Then he chuckled and said that he got knocked off the roof first thing! My face showed my horror...but he seemed ok. Then he said he did not fall to the ground...he fell on to the sky track lift..on his side. And I gave him a hug and thanked God! And I'm still saying thank you!

Marilyn, we have had rain for a few days then a day of sunshine. Today is our day of sunshine so you know what we are having for the next two days. I checked and looks like we will be carried into May this same way. I hope May gets warmer and drier!

This morning we are so humid...but I spent the hour after my husband left pulling out thornless dead rose canes, weed eating, pulling weeds and looking for tiny zinnia plants. All of that bending over meant I needed a short rest. So I will go back out there after I get dressed and plant flower seeds. Hopefully I will get that done before the big winds kick up again.

We are due for storms possibly today. I heard thunder this morning, but had no rain yet.

Marilyn, I had to laugh when you said "I will go back out there after I get dressed". Had to wonder a bit about what you were or weren't wearing when you first went out. LOL!

Our new yard is so full of weeds - we have pulled a lot, but really need some good treatments to get rid of them all. We have quite a few trees, so lots of shade. And so many acorns - which could be why we have a lot of squirrels. LOL!

There have been many days I got up and started puttering around and before you know it it was 3 in the afternoon and I still wasn't dressed. Sometimes the less you have on the more you get done.

Judith,
I have to agree with that. Usually on the weekends for me because I have made a practice of getting up and dressed before I head downstairs for breakfast. But on the weekends we usually sleep in a bit so I get up to let the dog out and don't get dressed till later on. If I stay downstairs after letting him back in it can be late before I think about it. I have been known to feed the chickens and collect eggs while wearing my pajamas and wellies. Quite the sight I'm sure. LOL!

Since we don't have close neighbors, the two are 1/2 mile away. Only my son and his family ate within 1/4 mile...so I pulled the wagon out to the pickup with the lunch boxes...and then I pulled out the rose canes and used the battery powered weed eater...ssh it is not mine. Oh well. I was in my gown. By about 10am I changed after a shower.

Well a surprise this morning, sunshine. I checked the weather and Thursday and Friday will be our two days of rain. Hoping it is clear Saturday to get some outside work done.

Denise, how is your son doing?
I think of him often...and wonder how he had dealt with the lockdown.
I think being alone could be difficult, especially for a young person.

We've had a few cold days, some area even had snow! Today is a lovely day. I even took the day off just to center myself and enjoy the sunshine. It's the little things in life that counts ... like the sun on your face. Enjoy the moment! Cheers!

It has been so nice the last couple of days. Not sure what we are having today. The sun was out but now it seems to be hiding it is a bit breezy out there.

Friday it was windy and humid. About dark we were hit with big wind, tiny brief hail lots of rain and before the night was done almost three inches of it. Then Saturday was a cloudy day with light showers most of the day. Today is beautiful with sunshine and very little wind!

It has been raining off and on here today, supposed to have had lightning here but didn’t see any yet.
It doesn’t do that here much,

Hugs stay dry and well everyone.

Love you all!

It's been drizzling off and on. We have been warned of a big storm which will probably fizzle out before it gets here, as usual.

Well Darlene, we have enough lightening for both of us! And the thunder was so booming big!

Judith, we had not had a good rain in a long time.kaliche dust coated everything. Now everything is so green and beautiful.

We did get some rain out of the so-called storm that was predicted; not much but any is welcome. At least I won't have to water today. I think I will have to change my understanding of what the weather people call a storm. To me, a storm is wind, torrents of rain, and maybe a little thunder and lightening. To the weather people storm means perhaps it will sprinkle. The media always wants to make everything bigger than it really is.

Right. When I lived out in open country I would just look out to the west and predict the weather.

It's rainy here today and cool. My garden needed it and so did the pastures so I won't complain.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.
