We are cloudy, the sun attempts to make an appearance now and then. It is breezy, which is a blessing. The humidity is so high, but it does not look like there is any hope of it being less for over a week. It is very nice in the mornings and evenings when it is cool.

We have reached 100% humidity today. The salt in my little bowl on the counter is so wet. The doors will not close completely. But 74° with a good breeze...I will take it. I do not understand what is going on with our crazy weather, but it is certainly affecting our garden. The tomatoes that are ripening slowly are nice and firm but the strangest texture inside. The radishes have been great and the green onions too.

Beginning last night at 6:36 pm, my phone began giving warnings. I have no idea how much rain has fallen, and the lightening is so bad, I don't dare go look. We may need duck feet today. The radar has been yellow, orange and red for several hours. It is a blessing to get such nice rain. I know the garden plants love lightening, but it scares me.

How is your weather doing today Marilyn? Has it calmed down? I hope so.
We had a pretty day but the winds got pretty high. I was coming home and driving on the back road and there is this one house just before the curve and a drive way there and a bit before I got to it the wind started whipping the dust through there and so I slowed and it whipped right across the street and was gone. it was weird.
Otherwise it is good.

hugs

We had a cool sunny afternoon, after almost five inches of rain. Scary lightening. But everything is ok here. We drove to town and were amazed to see so much water. We get a break until Sunday, I think.
Sounds like you may have seen a dust devil. We had those in west Texas when I was a kid.

Thinking of all those in Texas storms. It is pouring from tropical depression Bonnie. Now through tomorrow. No family outings till Tuesday. Just hoping for everything to stay dry inside.

More rain today, not flooding here yet but a lot of our state is under water. Hoping for a break soon. They are saying maybe Saturday.
Marilyn, you doing okay over there? Saw on the news last night that your part of the state was getting flooding too.

Sherry, glad to read to you are not knee deep in water! Goodness, when will the rain stop? We are in need of rain here. Nothing critical but a good rain fall would be nice. Lake Champlain is low for this time of year. We may just get the rain today! I sure hope so! Catch you later!

My weather today I would gladly share with you all.

Beautiful picture, Brenda. We have had so much rain here in Texas, many counties have been declared disaster zones. I walked out in my front yard yesterday and my feet squish every step. So much water. The pasture is puddles.

And why, I wonder, do horses stand out in the rain when there is a barn (not huge, but a barn) they could group in and stay fairly dry.

That's a good question! I'm feeling so bad for everyone dealing with the flooding. Sure hope it ends soon. We're supposed to get some nasty weather here tomorrow, as well.

Happy Day!

We came out of the book store, just before noon. Hadlee said, "My goodness it is so bright!" My response was the the sun we have hardly seen in three weeks wanted to brighten our day. It does make a difference in the moods of humans. Sunshine brings hope and warmth.

It sure does, normally in our area We have more grey days than Sunny and it really makes a difference in how people react around here and how much energy we have when the sun is out.
We have more than we used to and less fog. Ok by me.
I love this area but really need my blue sky. :D

We got the most wonderful rain. It rained just right to soak into the ground and not run off as usual. We really needed this rain. Everything was getting so dry. It hopefully also washed a lot of the pollen out of the trees. We could see the wind blow clouds of pollen across the yard. Not good for hanging out clothes. Today everything looks so clean and fresh outside.

The previous days have been just right with sun and the temperature, just dry, dry, dry. I like rain and clouds as much as the bright sunny days. Have a great Day everyone. Time for church.

We have had a lot of rain here too. But we will have a bumper raspberry crop. It is hard to plant the garden when it rains every day. But we will have a 60ft. Ginkgo tree removed this week. It is a gorgeous tree but we had it 25 years before we realized it was a female tree. Every fall it produces thousands of round seeds. When the squirrels open them they stink horribly. The smell gets on your shoes etc. so we will be seeing more sun in front of the barn.

Interesting, I have heard of the Ginko tree maybe the seeds are what they use in the supplements for brain fog? :D
