I understand, we get used to a temperature range, but things have changed. Twenty years ago AC was not essential in Wisconsin or Minnesota...but it is hotter there than it is here in Texas right now. My AC is so nice and I am so thankful that my son took a big remodel job. So for the past two weeks they have been inside with AC at least part of the time. It will continue for another week or so. A blessing for sure.

Watching a storm come in here tonight. We can use the rain for the garden. It has been record temps for us this week. No break til the beginning of August.

The 10:00pm news just said it is 91° but feel like 100° right now! That is crazy. The humidity is making it worse. Everyone please stay safe, keep water with you at all times. Remember, if you are walking, doing yard work, watching grandkids playing, etc. If you stop sweating, your shirt is dry...you are in trouble. Seek help. Confusion quickly follows.

We didn't get any rain from that storm. About 2 more weeks and we aren't expected to have anymore 90 degree weather. Can't wait!

1980...the summer we measure Texas summers against. We sat on 100° all summer long then moved it on up to around 110° for a while. It was about 100 days of HOT! Wade said he remembered coming from town one night, and at midnight the temp on the bank was 100°. He was 16 at the time, we had moved to the country and had no AC. In desperation the three of us slept on a mattress in the back of our pick up truck. We were all skinny back then. It was a miserable year.

wouldn't that be fun!

Winnie, maybe the weather pattern will change its mind and you will get your rain. Nice and easy but cooling.

Hot here in the mountains, but not near as hot as it is in the Atlanta area :)! I feel for our girls that live south of the city! We just had a brief rain shower, hoping it will cool it off for our chickie girls! I am soooo ready for Fall!
Hugs, Ruth

Watching storms blow in tonight. Though we aren't getting the biggest part so it shouldn't last long. So windy. Still 91 at 8:00 pm though.

It looks like another hot muggy day in the wild west. My friend, who lives about fifteen miles north of us called last night and excitedly asked,"Is it raining at your house?" "No, I said, is it was raining there?" She went to look and sounding disappointed, said they had only had a very brief shower, but it smelled good. I told her that was God's perfume/calogne she was smelling. More unsettled weather today and tomorrow, so I am hopeful God will see our need...the green trees along the "dirt" roads are white with dust, they need a bath and I need to experience that wonderful perfume/cologne.

Darlene, what a funny picture!

Denise, thanks for the cool scene. I feel so refreshed!

Gorgeous day here in the way Northeast of NY. High today of 81F. We did have some rain a couple of days ago. Rain is always a good thing. Indeed it does make everything smell so fresh!

Carole, hoping the temps in NY stay that way this weekend. It will be a nice reprieve from what we are getting here. Can't wait to head north!

Hope it cools for you. It is hot everywhere, We are in a little area of foggish weather because of the heat elsewhere. I did see some sun today though.
This is our normal Summer weather. We shall see what happens in September here.

Stay cool!
Blessings

Believe it or not we were hot at lunch time about 93, but late this afternoon, with clouds all around and distant thunder it was just perfect. I am happy to report that I was blessed to smell God's perfume/cologne...even though we were only sprinkled on. There is still hope for tomorrow. When the weather changes, the border collie begins hyperventilating, the snakes begin crawling about and horses tend to colic. My son almost lost one of his good roping horses last night. He gave it the usual meds but the horse had a bad reaction. So he sent Hadlee to get my colloidal silver and started the horse on that. Just a bit ago he said the horse seems to be on the mend. Thank God, we sent prayers up last night and more today. More will go tonight. There seems to rarely be a dull moment on the farm.
