Denise, what a mess. I'm glad you weren't hurt. Storms can be deadly. We finally have weather in the 60s all week. Way up north they even predict 30s for nights. We won't get that here though. Just high 40s. The trees are finally beginning to turn color. Fall here is awesome!

Carole, Lucky you! It has been nice here in the mornings and warm considerably by afternoon. Not sure what we are having at home. Probably quite hot.

Carole it is like that here too. Next week I heard that the nights are going to get a lot cooler.
But pretty today. Yay!

Darlene, the evenings are quite cool here ... last night it dropped to around 45. I love waking up, bundled in quilts! So cozy! lol

Another gorgeous day! A tad cool this morning but still shorts and a t-shirt worthy!

Enjoy the day everyone! Cheers!

Well it is foggy and cool here today. I could use some sun to warm me. It must be hot inland.

We have a little cutie girl from China in our Kindergarten class. She was the weather girl this week. She was pointing the arrow to foggy this morning, until I asked her to walk over where I was. Then I showed her the window in the adjoining room...She could see the sun shining in. She quickly changed the arrow. It had been foggy when we were on our way to school, but it was gone...replaced by sunlight. Yesterday the teacher was reading a book about animals and the dark. She stood up, told us to all sit VERY still, and walked over to the classroom door, and turned off the light. IT WAS PITCH BLACK! I could not see the kids who were three feet from me. Our classroom was formed from the back corner of the fellowship hall. There are no Windows, only one door. I was so surprised.

Can you girls please send some of that cool weather this way. This whole week in the afternoon the heat index is over 100. AC running full blast. The nights just get down to about 73 or so. So so ready for fall.

I agree with Sherry. We are still waiting for temps where this heat index doesn't make it unbearable. Still running the ac day and night.

It would be lovely to have some fall temps longer than a day or two. My guys start a new home build today. I packed lots of water bottles, power-are, cantaloupe, grapes, fresh veggies, jello, sandwiches and iced tea, as well as the chips and snacks. I hope they stay hydrated. Next week is predicted to be a bit cooler, but this week is bad.

Marilyn, I know what you mean about keeping hydrated. The last several days have been brutal... 60%humidity and heat index of 99. More of the same today.

I was hoping for a cooler gentler Sept. I know it's on it's on the way just taking it's time getting here.

Happy Fall! It has definitely come to the high plains, we have been having beautiful high 60 low 70 degree days with nighttime temps in the 40's and 50's. We had just a touch of frost one night, not enough to damage much so I am still getting garden produce, but with harvest rapidly approaching I have slowly been picking my last harvests and pulling plants. The tomatoes and zuchinni of course are still blooming so I will leave those until the very laxt

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

We are supposed to get a lot of rain Sunday, tonight the sky was beautiful though. This morning it clouded over and I thought I'd better do some shopping so I don't have to get out when it starts but it cleared up.We shall see. Time will tell. Have a good evening.
hugs

Thanks Carole, I saw this the other day and then found a very long article from Temblor discussing about Northern Pacific one that happened along time ago and that probably would be another one someday. Who knows, the other one could be tomorrow or in another 300 years. We only be prepared the best we can or it can just be a volcano or Tsunami from somewhere. God only knows, we just need to be prepared.
Thanks again Carole for caring,
This is so why I love this Hen house. you all care.
Blessings
