We've had rain all day. They are saying very dense fog tonight and into tomorrow. Glad I don't have to go anywhere.

It is supposed to be up to 84-85 today and humid. I am praying we finally get some rain that they say should come late tonight and early tomorrow. We desperately need it!

I guess we had some rain in the night but there was a beautiful sky this morning.
I am glad because I am going to have to take my car in I think, a check engine light came on Sunday. A friend of mine had a meter and found the codes for me so I have to get a hold of a service place this morning. Praying they can fix easily and maybe a oil change in the Transmission area.
Take care

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is still snoring.
Great day of cold steady rain. This is the kind of rain that soaks into the ground and nourishes the plants before their long winters nap. Thank you GOD.

We got a brief downpour the other night as a front passed through but we desperately need more. There is a chance coming by Wednesday that might be more promising. I hope we can get a good soaking rain to ease the drought. The local weather man reported the other day that a full La Nina is now in place in the Pacific so that means we will have a warmer and drier Winter here in the Southeast. The last La Nina we had was in 2007 and by late April and May we were burning up here in north Florida. The Okeefenokee Swamp caught on fire and burned for weeks and spurring more fires. In this part of Florida, we have many pine trees and all of their needles make for some dangerous conditions very quickly. I am hoping it won't be as bad as 2007 but we shall see.

Did it hurt the swamp horribly Winnie?
I have never been there but have always enjoyed reading about the Okefenokee Swamp and the poor animals too.

Hope not

It's misty rain here with a low of 32 tonight. May be patches of black ice on overpasses in the morning. Glad I can stay in. Tomorrow night it will be in the low twenties. Our first hard freeze of the year with 10% chance of rain.

It is cold today, about 40°…the weather guessers say it will be 72°tomorrow. Then hold on to your hats as we begin our downward spiral, by Sunday night we should be in the teens with winds from the north and west. Won't that be lovely. No wonder people get sick. I went to the tri plex
Site today. I picked up four different kinds of pecans. Little dogs, in someone's back yard, barked and barked at me. I don't know if I wasted my time or not. A lot of the pecans that are coming down now are black inside. My gifts for my class are finished and wrapped.Yesterday I took a big sheath cake for our snack. It was my day to bring. I took milk...and was shocked that three little girls would not drink milk. The boys asked for seconds. We sang HAPPY Birthday Baby Jesus. I only found one hand dipped candle in my house, but I lit it, and we sang, then the kids blew the candle out. I hope Jesus enjoyed hearing us sing for him.

We have been getting a lot of rain and the river is up but doesn't affect me but my friend had water up to her steps, She lives down in the dairy land. Her road was flooded some too. It is supposed to go down today. It has been wet, this morning at the bottom road of Loleta was flooded and I guess a Hay truck turned over, they were ok. But I heard that several of the roads were closed with slides,
I am doing ok up here on the hill.Take care everyone.

hugs and love

Darlene, it seems that we pray rain, then God sends us some. I guess that long ago, before people built roads and homes a lot of rain did not really bother the critters. Now a lot of rain can cause some issues. I am glad you and the truck drivers are ok.

A cold 16 with a hi of 28 today. It snowed during the night - just a dusting - if you weren't up at 1 a.m. you missed it. My front sidewalk got it but the back deck did not.

It was so icy here yesterday! I felt like a popcicle! We had a good day though and Santa came last night and we had 50 kids show up to see him. It was very nice.. i will post a couple of pictures with Santa later in the day.
It was good.

Happy Day everyone.

Sara, we were at 15° and have climbed to 16°…wow! The north wind doth blow, but we did not get snow…oh well it would have all blown away in the wind anyway.

Marilyn, yesterday I was in the backyard when one of the 40 mph gusts of wind blew in - boy did it howl through the tree tops - and so did Annie - she ran around the yard barking at the wind. The wind is only blowing 10-12 mph today.

Gosh, we are here in muggy Florida at 80 degrees. Supposed to get some rain but so far it doesn't look promising. We sure could use some!

I went into our Dollar tree store. A young man was coming out and he held the door for me. I quickly got my plastic jars and checked out. I could not make the door open. Just as I was about to ask for help it occurred to me that the north wind was pushing the door to keep it closed tight. I really had to push hard on it to get out. Then in the parking lot the gusts tried to blow me over. That was a bit unexpected and frightening too. Yes we have wind today, but the skies are lighter as is that wind. The ritzy part of town lost power last night. They were calling 911. The police dept. Put out an alert...Don't call us, Oncor is trying to fix it. Can you imagine having a party...and suddenly no lights, no heat, no cooking. I know there were quite a few parties interrupted last night. Thankfully we were ok out in the country.

Winnie I will take most of your temp. stopping it at 70 would be nice. It was frosty here this week end and tomorrow morning but is supposed to be nicer for now and nice on Weds. when I leave for Wash.
You be careful out there in that wind of stuff Marilyn. Our River went down so that is good. It isn't melting in the mountains and that is a good thing for our River.
It is just cold,I don't like it. Blah....
