It was craaaaaaaazy here Saturday! It was 81 degrees at 2pm, by 9:30 pm it was 32, raining Cats and Dogs , Windy!! temp. went down to 18 for the low!! It went down to 15 last night. but only 22 tonight. Warm up by Christmas Day with a high of 60 and Sunny, which is about normal for us at Christmas! If we get snow, we get it in January or February!

Our low last night was 15. High of 36 today. Dry, though. Warmer this week.

It's a cold chill as of yesterday. Today is 19F, but the sun is out .... so gorgeous!

Last night we had a dusting of snow .... the large snow flake kind .... just enough to cover mother nature with a gorgeous blanket of snow ... I love snow! We are way over due for a snow storm .... you know the kind where everyone is safe and warm in their home .... forced to slow down and enjoy the beauty of it all! Cheers!

20 here in northeast Texas and it's still snowing. We may get a couple of inches if it keeps up. It's Annie's first snow and she is fascinated by it. I let her out for 10-15 minutes at a time and when she is back inside she just wants to look out the windows.

Expecting some more snow tonight. I love the way it makes everything so quiet and freshe and clean.

The snow has stopped and the weatherman said Paris got 1" of snow. I'll take it we need the moisture.

Temperature to drop to 17 tonight so like any proper southern/Texas woman I'll be taking to my bed before long. Sweet dreams everyone.

It is 5pm and 23° but it feels like 11 with the cold north wind. Our high today was 26°. I am ready for next week's warm up. I was supposed to drive into Fort Worth today to see the doctor. I rescheduled for March. I did not trust the weather guessers who kept saying the snow would only fall along the red river...guess what WRONG AGAIN...there is snow in Fort Worth. We had blowing snow, more like sleet pellets this afternoon.

Whoa, you Farmgirls out there are having some real Winter weather!! Last night and today, we are getting the rain portion of that mid-Atlantic snow storm and then later today we are going to have our first hard freeze tonight and tomorrow. What makes me sad is that our overly warm December has the azaleas in my yard starting to open up and all the blooms are just sitting there ready to bloom out. Plus our local Japanese Magnolia trees are in full bloom around the town. They have the big fragrant pink/purple tulip like blooms all over the trees. It is just gorgeous! Then next week by Tuesday we are back up to 70+ degrees for the rest of the week and weekend. While this roller coaster type weather is often very typical of my area of Florida, I hate to see the lovely spring foliage open so early and then get zapped. Our area is at it's most beautiful in early Spring after the frost threats are gone and the heat and humidity have not returned yet. Everybody stay warm and hopefully nobody loses power!!

That will be a welcome relief. The plumbers will be busy. Any time we drop into the 20s or lower and stay...pipes freeze and burst. Thankfully our pressure pump is in the cellar. We have been blessed not to have frozen pipes inside. Julie and Hadlee came up last night for warm up time. They were busting ice in water troughs so the horses and cows could have a drink before sleep time. We had to water chickens three times yesterday. I need to get dressed and go water in a bit. I look forward to 60s.

Winnie, I know what you mean about plants leafing out blooming to quickly. Our pear tree is so confused. It was blooming in late November.

This is a small Snowstorm for West Tennessee! LOL! Most years we get none at all!! Every few decades we get a snow in March! Julie was laughing at me because I said," it was going down to 20!" Her low in North Dakota was Minus 10! I wasn't thinking! I told her,"I was ashamed for complaining!! " LOL!!

Connie, you mentioned snow in March in Tenn. On Tuesday March 1, 1942 it snowed in Dallas and never again on that date; all around it but never that exact date. I'll be 75 come March 1 maybe there will be snow for the second time in my life.

Yesterday was hot! In the 40s! Then last night it snowed some more. Today it is a high of 33, though right now it is 27 and feels like 19. More snow coming from around 11 tonight until wee hours of the morning... and a high of only 8 tomorrow. We are looking forward to that!!!

Hi everyone, it is good to be back on here, I am glad to be home too it was very cold up there.
Yesterday, I was just plain tired. My train was two hours late so missed the bus and had to wait 3 and1/2 hours for the bus then finally got home at 10:30pm instead of 4:10pm. Slowness due to snow in Washington and rain and flooding in Sacramento area, It is pouring hard today and windy and yesterday I saw a lightening bolt touch down about a half a block away. there were several others before that. Too close for me. I am still tired, I need coffee :D
Well stay warm out there.
Love and hugs and missed you all alot.
