Carole, you are right. We had a tornado this morning early and I can hear the thunder again. It will be a long week.

We're going for a record of 74 today and 78 tomorrow. It's a little crazy, but we're enjoying it anyway!

Happy Day!

Loving this weather! Getting linens on the clothesline.
They smell so good when they are dried in the sunshine and breeze.

We had rain all night long, very colorful. Now we are cloudy and cool, 55° with mist...waiting for more. It actually feels like an Autumn day.

Nothing like hanging clothes outside on a line, they are so soft and smell so good.
I miss that.

Well hugs

We had a picture perfect day here in the mountains today :)! So wish I could put it in a bottle and bring it out again in August! Or February for that matter!
Be safe if you are in bad weather. We are to have a rainy weekend, hopefully not storms!
Going Thrifting/antiquing with a friend tomorrow, excited!
Hugs, RUth

Evening everyone, will I woke this morning at 4:30 to lots of thunder and rain. Got up to check that we were not getting rain in the back door, ok everything good but only for about 30 minutes then it all started coming in. This rain has been terrible today and all I've gotten done today is suck up water. But ours was nothing compared to some of our neighbors in the town of Kilgore. Lots of flooding today and suppose to get more rain in the next 24 hours. I'll let you know more tomorrow.

Farmgirl Hugs & May all your Wishes come true.

Oh Sherry, that is not good. You are really getting a lot of rain. Ours stopped mid day, but the weather folks think we will have more. Is there a retaining wall behind your house? IF your yard is big, perhaps you could have a maintainer cut a little ditch back there, circling around and out to the street to carry the water away. We had a similar issue many years ago when we built a house. My husband moved the location of the foundation after the pad was prepared, putting us down hill. The water would run down, right up to the front door. After the maintainer came, problem was solved. We sold out and have moved a couple of times since. We were young, middle twenties, and I guess he didn't think or know???

Marlee, are you and your family OK? It sounds like you are getting a lot of rain in Louisiana too. Be careful and God bless and take care of you.

Wow, the weather continues to be crazy. Glad everyone is safe.

As anyone heard from Marlee? I just check the weather, rain and more rain with flash flood warnings in her area.

Sherry, Just checked the weather in your area, it looks like the rain will not let out. Flash flooding warnings also.

Here in Northeast NY we are breaking records. Warm spring day! Everything is pretty much melted, except for the huge pile of snow from the removal crew. I checked the river down the street from me and half of it is melted and the other half seem to be breaking up.

Stay safe everyone! Cheers!

i hope everyone is OK. Many prayers being said for all of you. I wish I could share some Of our weather with you. It is supposed to be in the mid 60's today. All the snow is gone. The geese, robins and meadowlarks are back. This is the strangest year weather wise for us. We really need moisture so I am hoping we get some of that rain that everyone else is being hit with. Hugs to everyone.

Keeping you gals in mind and prayers with all the rains and flooding. It was an exceptionally warm day here for this time of year. 74 or 78. There seems to be a difference of opinion around the house here. [:/]

Marlee, I am glad to hear you are doing ok, I was worried, someone posted some photos of Louisiana's flood and that was awful. Please stay safe out there. Prayers for you all and everyone else who is dealing with all the wind and rain. We had a fair day today, Yay!

Blessings

Morning Girls, Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I have had furniture stacked in front of my computer and could not get to it. Mark moved some more carpet and furniture last night, so perched on top of the couch to do this email this morning. It has finally stopped raining. Still have a chance today but not much. So glad to see the sunshine this morning. Just do not like having my house in such a mess. We are still trying to dry out carpets and everyone that comes in bring mud with them, so just been trying to keep up. Suppose to be in the 80's first of the week so maybe I can get everything back to normal. My oldest daughter's house flooded too and she was out of town so I spent most of the day out there on Thursday, trying to clean up. It has just been a mess. But it was not just us when you talk to different people around town it was everybody got some sort of flooding. Glad it's over.

Farmgirl Hugs & May all your Wishes come true.

Sherry, I am sorry you have had a double mess. How deep did the water get in your house? Do you have some big fans to help dry everything up? I remember when my brother lived in Sulphur Springs, they had flooding too.
