Gorgeous day! Since our last 12+ snow storm, we keep getting an inch more every day! I love snow! When it covers the trees, it is so beautiful!

Darlene, I have been watching the news and the rain in California is unbelievable. I do hope your area won't have bad flooding. The one good news is that reservoirs are filling and much needed rain for the state is finally here after years of terrible drought and fires.

We have been enjoying several days of mid 30's to mid 40's. The snow is not gone by a long shot, but at least it is going down a bit and we can see some hill tops. There is a lot of ice every morning when we go out to do chores so have to be careful we don't end up on our backside, has happened several times already. It has been a nice break from the snow and cold we had, but we know winter is far from over as we tend to get a lot of snow in March.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

We have cold mornings, at or near freezing. Today is windy, as usual. Temps in the 60s and lower 70s this next week. Rain may come back Sunday and Monday.

Rain is good until it overdoes itself. or the Dams collapse.
They are supposed to get a lot down south. It is raining as I type. Yay!

Love you all, looking forward to more blue sky.

It was so nice yesterday. My husband and Julie planted potatoes and onions. I planted cabbage and broccoli plants. I thought I was buying six each, including cauliflower...but someone had put a stir fry broccoli in the cauliflower tray. Now I know to check the tag in the cups the plants are in. We all love fresh broccoli, so we will use it, but now I must find some cauliflower.

Our area has been light rain here, and off and on so not too bad.

We've had a beautiful day in the 60's today. Supposed to be nice all week. It's only February so it is surprising. I remember when I was very young we always had snow for my birthday and we would go sledding and skating. Haven't gotten any skating in for the past few years and I have brand new skates that I've only worn once. I do miss some things about my home state.

Marilyn - I wish we didn't travel so much (though I love traveling) because then I'd plant a garden. I love fresh veggies.

I sure hope this is a good gardening year. Last year it rained too much, the year before we were hailed out twice. I never would have thought you could have too much rain on a garden...but the tomatoes were shiny red fat balls of mush.

The potato wagon is turning over and over. Rumbling with lightening and rain. I just looked at radar...we are in Orange. That is good. I can almost see a record hay crop this spring.

Rain sure does help the hay, and other vegetable crops, too. And my pond needs a big drink.

Well it was 48° with a 22mph wind, when the teacher told the kids it was nice outside and they would not need a coat. I was standing there, phone in hand saying you need a coat. Guess what...They got very cold. Thankfully they only lasted 10 minutes...She was cold too. As people become senile, do they become stubborn, unreasonable and total gritches???

It has been beautiful here for the last 2 weeks. Temperatures in the upper 50's or higher during the day. Very unusual weather for winter in Michigan. My DH and I have gotten a lot of yard work done. He did more than me, but I also did lots inside the house. It's nice to get ahead start on the yard even though snow is predicted this weekend.

I tell people it is still winter even though it feels more like Spring. We have some crocus in blossom. Hope the weather doesn't mess up the fruit and nut trees this year. It's predicted to snow then go right back up in the upper 50's for a day or two and right back down cold and snowy again. Sometimes it's difficult for our bodies to adjust to the constant changes in temperature.

Can't complain about too much snow this year. At least up till now. We can still get a blizzard in March.

Overnight temp was supposed to be 39 but Annie's outside water dish had ice in it this morning. All container plants were okay.
