It has been a tad warmer than usual today. At least for this time of year. 10 pm and it's 81 degrees here not comfy for sleeping when we've had such cool nights.

Marker feel better soon. I am finally feeling better after two weeks. I hope I don't get this a third time. We are cloudy again today, but being home, to putter about, today has been such a blessing.

It has been raining here for about four hours...just the nicest gentle rain. Some lightening but not much wind. I slept but my shoulder pain woke me up...So...I guess I could sew??? Or maybe I will sit here in the recliner a bit.

What a difference a few miles makes - we didn't get any rain and I wish we had.

I'm sorry it never made it to you. It was an unusual system, and stayed pretty compact, moving very slowly north and east. It was a blessing kind of rain. Slow and gentle, soaking into the soil.

Thunderstorms and rain since a little after 3 a.m. Linda I hope you are getting rain too. Flashflood warnings for Lamar County. I'm on high ground but roads running north into OK and east of me are low and will flood. Don't drown turn around. Don't know if other states use this slogan but Texas does. You hear it on TV during flooding reminding people to turn around and not to try to cross high water.

We had two inches yesterday...more fell down the road a few miles. It is a beautiful, calm hazy afternoon that began as a very foggy morning.

Cloudy and windy today! We have been getting lots of rain. The river down the street from me is quite high. With the ice all melted we do not have to worry about flooding "the village" downtown.

Enjoy your day everyone! Cheers!

I'm watching Channel 12 out of Sherman, TX - 100 miles due west of me. Channel 12 covers north central & north east Texas and southern Ok. The area they cover is called Texoma. They're covering two massive storm systems. One on the Texas side and the other in Ok. The storm 100 miles west of me is 50,000' high, 2-3" hail, and high winds. Tornado watches and warnings till 1 a.m. They haven't said when it will reach Paris but it is heading this way.

They have two weathermen keeping up with the storms and they are very good at explaining what is going on. Storms are scary but on the other hand they are fascinating too. Our part of Texas and southern OK are in several storm patterns. Before tornado season the weathermen train storm watchers so there are more eyes on the ground.

We had a big hail storm headed our way, we covered tomatoes and peppers. So far it looks like it is slipping by us to our south. Thank you God.Be safe Sara.

Marilyn glad the nasty hail storm missed you. Paris dodged the bullet too. The storm went north of here and we only got high winds. Blew one of my ferns onto the porch and this year's Jubilee garden flag across the yard.

In Livingston Texas at Livingston state park, and the weather is muggy, cool, cloudy, and so far only a smattering of rain yesterday. We did hit rain driving up here on Wednesday. Like

We're under a wind advisory today until midnight. Sustained winds of 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Will have to keep an eye out for the wind drying my potted herbs. High winds will dry out potted plants as much as the sun's heat.

Anyone know some rain dances that actually work? We had a front pass through and areas around us here in north Florida got some good rain. But sadly not us!

Winnie I am so sorry you are dealing with drought. I know how it feels to wait for rain and see it go to the north or south. We have had rain this spring but not enough to say we are out of the drought.
