I have no idea how much we have had but every system has brought a bit over a half inch. We had soggy ground last evening before more came in all night long. I love it. Thank you God, for the BLESSING RAINS!

Wow, we had some kinda rain this week!! From Tuesday evening until Thursday morning, we got 6 inches of rain!!!! I mean it poured and poured. I think we are not officially out of our drought and everything has greened up in a flash. So glad we got good rain as it was terribly dry and we were having lots of fires break out as well.

It is nice today! Saturday it rained for our community yard sale. There were a lot of people out looking though, too bad it could have a good one. I was in the Church and made about $30.

It was good anyway.

Thunderstorm hit about an hour ago and I heard the rain before the thunder and lightening. Been a long time since I have heard rain like that. It's still raining and the thunder is rolling on and on. There's something neat about hearing rolling thunder in the distance - not so much when it's overhead and the dishes rattle.

Yesterday was really nice and warm and sunny, which was good because we were in a parade, I would rather watch though.
It was a good day!

Oppressive heat and humidity continues with those pop up showers that hit some places and not others. We had 20 inches of rain in June!! While we were in great need of rain from the drought we had been in, it has been coming in downpours with wind and thunder storms. July - September are our tropical months with the hottest, wettest, and miserable humidity. I have my sights set on October!! LOL!!

We had an ideal day here. Low humidity, 80 degrees and tonight's temps in the 60s. Sweet!

We have had unstable weather for days and days. We have a bit of thunder, sometimes a shower almost every afternoon...and sometimes it arrives in the wee hours of the morning.
I have enjoyed it but my son and his crew have resorted to going to work at 6 am and they stop around 2:30 because the heat and humidity together are bad. They are framing a house for a family.

We have been getting so much rain these past few weeks. The lake level is quite high! Great for boaters! This morning the sun is out .... lovely day to be spent outside!

Cheers!

In Texas we often begin to get small "northers" or cold fronts in July. Not this year...but boy oh boy did we get one tonight. The winds got up, the temp dropped, then the thunder and lots of lightening came next along with rain. On the radar blue is moist air, green means light rain, then yellow, orange and red being the heavy rain. We were in red for twenty minutes. WOW.My husband went out west of here with his friend to check some cows two weeks ago. He said the mesquite beans were big thick ones this year. He said old timers used to say that meant a long cold hard winter was on the way. If this front is any indication...we may really have winter this year.

It was 55 two days ago with two days of 60s. Lots of heavy rain today. The crops are looking great now. But at the end of the month it will be in the 90s again.i'm not ready for winter yet. 70s this week.

Marilyn, I cannot imagine that you would get one of our winters.

Bonnie, is Minneapolis a dry place? Or is it quite humid? I find the humidity is what drains me! It also makes my hair curl! lol

We have had a couple of cool days and today you can add clouds with chance of thunder showers.

Carole, I know we probably would not have a winter like you have. In Texas we get gusty strong North since that can drop temps in a matter of minutes from the 80s right down around freezing. Horses usually colic. We have had deep snow, 8-10" in November. We have ice and snow but they usually are followed a few days lAter by beautiful sunshine.

I remember Illinois winters, but nothing like they have had the past couple years. Texas winters are usually pretty mild. I do like getting some snow once in a while. The Blue Northers do cool us down very quickly, and unfortunately, my house faces due north, so they hit me hard.

Marilyn, my last year living in Florida was the year it snowed. It came down to 29 and let me tell you, 29 in Florida is super cold compared to 29 in Northeast NY. So, I understand what you mean about being cold where you are.

Today, presently 66 with a high of 72. Sunny intersperse with clouds. And yes, Aunt Marge is sitting outside all bundled up as if it was -10 and enjoy the sunny weather! lol Alright, I'm exaggerating a bit, but you get my drift! lol I should have taken a picture of her. I'm in capri and a mid sleeve shirt!

Catch you later!
