Yesterday was definitely a typical fall day for us. Rain and breezy, today is quite chilly and we started up the woodstove last night. Love this season and all that goes with it!

It has been cool here and today started out windy with rain coming on. I had to get out in it and crossing the bridge to Ferndale was a bit tough because the wind kept blowing me sideways across there. I got there and back fine though.
It rained harder later and then in spurts,
I can do with out.

Well, I am pretty sure winter is here. It was 2 this morning. Not sure of the windchill, cold is cold so didn't bother checking. Sure glad I put and extra bale of hay in the chicken coop last night. Think I will build a fire and spend a good amount of the day in front of it working on a few Christmas projects.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Brrrrr, Julie!! We were 85 yesterday and about that today. I would gladly trade your cold for this persistent heat and higher humidity!!!! We are supposed to have a cool front come through tonight and tomorrow will be in the low 70s. So far, we have had lower humidity for most of November but only a handful of chilly mornings. It has been like this for most of November with mostly warm temps but lower humidity and little rain. Building a fire in the fireplace and working on Christmas projects sounds wonderful to me. It would get me in the mood to start thinking seriously about the upcoming holidays.

Brr, Julie! Hope you were able to get the farm things finished before the cold set in.

I feel like Winnie-the-Pooh on this blustery day! But the sun is shining. Started working on some hot spots today. They seem to the areas that are magnets for clutter. I am meeting a previous Co worker for coffee and figured I'd use the time to get some things done. Quick jobs anyway.

After mostly 80s temps on the cruise, we came home to 60s in east Texas. I want to get RID of my cold/allergies and don't know if this change will be good.

WE are having two days of cold rain and then this weekend we are supposed to have our first freeze. The past week has been in the upper 70s and 80 so this is a huge change for everyone. However, I am OK with this because we had such a long hot and humid 2017. Maybe we can kill off a few mosquitoes this weekend!! That would be a HUGE bonus!

Weather is a tad chilly but nothing like it "should" be. I would enjoy a good snow storm. Seems Houston, Texas is getting our snow!

22 degrees here this morning! That was a drop from the 70s just a few days ago!
Sara, I just read your post. We have had little frost teases and only eight miles from here they had sleet one day a week or so ago. Now all the leaves will fall down.

Marilyn my leaves have been falling for weeks. Several inches of leaves in front & back yards. Waiting for them all to fall than I will pay someone to take care of them. My days of raking and bagging leaves are over.

I think it rained only once in Nov so I hope Dec will be wetter. Just don't want ice.

Well, it was in the 30s today and they are saying 4-6" of snow tonight and tomorrow. We will wait and see. Sometimes it's not as bad as they say. I'm prepared. Wood is in and books and cocoa are stocked.

It was fairly nice here today but I think some of the smoke from the fires below was in this area this afternoon, it was kind of hazy this afternoon.
Still nice though.

Darlene, I have been thinking about you and hoping that you are safe from those horrible wild fires. It is just so sad and devastating to see happening.

We had two days of cold wet rain and then today a cold front has blown in. Tonight we are supposed to get our first freeze too. It feels like Christmas with this cold snap so I got busy and put up my Christmas tree and a few decorations. My little kitty has been taking long naps in the chair by the little electric stove in my kitchen ( looks like a little wood stove) where it is warm on his arthritic bones. It has been a week of up and downs but more good than bad so we are bumping along and enjoying what time he has.

Enjoy your snow Carole!

We ended up with 2" inches of snowfall on Saturday but it was all gone by Monday. I am hopeful though they say we "might" get some Christmas eve. I sure hope so. We've not had a white Christmas as long as we've lived here, 27 years.

Thanks Denise!

I have more snow to enjoy! Snow day! Of course it wouldn't be a snow day without a picture of the barn!
