Cold weather here too - 27 - this morning with low teens coming for nighttime temps this week. Thankfully so far no ICE. Got to say though I feel better in the winter than in the heat of our Texas summers so I won't complain about low temps but I will moan & groan about ice.

Sounds like us here Brenda. I didn't end up going out as I had planned. The wind is just making it ever so cold.

The arctic cold is back! It is presently -8F. We had a wonderful snowstorm that started late Friday throughout Saturday morning. We had at least 7 inches of snow. It is so beautiful!

Carole,
Do you have any wind with those temps? It was 60 here on Saturday but it was snowing this afternoon. It turned much colder and we didn't end up getting any snow.

Cold this morning 17 - colder tonight 12. A sprinkling of snow last night which turned to ice. Hope all black ice is gone by the time my sister has to go to work at noon. She has a 4-wheel drive car which helps. As for me I'm in for the next couple of days.

That is cold Sara. I can't believe you have those temps in Texas! JT is always saying it gets cold there. He keeps talking about moving to Texas. I don't know if I could do the summer heat there.

Denise my part of Texas does get cold but seldom does it get down to low single digits. The panhandle gets blizzards brutal cold weather. In one year I have seen my weather go from 106 in the summertime to 9 in the winter.

There's a old story I heard growing up. The devil came down to Texas and decided to rent Texas out and went back to hell.

It was 19 when we woke up this morning - and all my pipes, except for the front bathroom, were slightly frozen. Within minutes they were all flowing, however, so all is well so far. We will keep the two back faucets dripping tonight, since it is supposed to get colder. BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Love that story, Sara.

Pretty scene, Connie. Glad grey cat knows where to come for an extra handout.

9 this morning. Received e-mail from my electric provider last night asking us to conserve energy today between 6a.m. and 10a.m. Must be their peak time with everyone getting off to work and school.

Woke up to it snowing this morning. Really blowing to! It does look pretty though. I'm going to just enjoy it from inside.

We just had rain from that front that gave you a pretty snow, Connie. After a few warm and humid days, it went back down to the upper 30s last night and today is sunny and clear. We are finally getting pretty fall leaves in my front yard from the Shumard Oak. The tree is gorgeous! I know this sounds weird, but January is like November for the rest of the East coast's fall foliage. Better late than never, I say!! LOL!!

Snow here today but no accumulation. It was more like freezing rain and then snow. Sure is cold, but I guess that what we get in winter!

Woke to light rain but it has stopped. Watched Fox News and saw where Galveston had 5" and is flooding. Julie I'm thinking and praying for you and your DH that y'all are safe.

Thank You Sara. We are fine. It rained all night and off and on today and it put up quite a commotion last night with all the thunder and lightening. Having had very little rain at home this summer it was nice hearing the rain on the roof. It was so foggy today we could barely see the houses further down the canal. We rented a house that sits over the water and has a boat dock. We spent the day playing scrabble and watching movies. Hopefully tomorrow will look better so we can do some fishing. We had fresh fish the other night and it sure was good. I am enjoying all the fresh seafood here, had fresh shrimp tonight for supper.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

We have been having quite a lot of rain in the last 24 hours with more through tomorrow. It is making everything a mess outside which gets tracked in side. :( I am still dealing with a cough that just won't quit. Hoping the weather and everything dries out and warms up soon. Spring can't come soon enough for me.

Yesterday was an interesting weather day for us. We started out in the evening with a wintry mix, and then the huge flakes came down fast and hard and we got about 3" in a short time. Of course we had to be somewhere so we headed out and the roads were slippery. We made it and by the time we left, about an hr and a half later it was raining and the roads were almost clear. There is still snow on the ground but the temps are in the 40's today so by this afternoon everything will be gone. Hoping it dries quickly too.
Is everyone still having winter weather?
