We have had cold rain and some hail here but it is supposed to snow in the mountains.
Brr. A friend of mine sent me a picture of her weather in Montana, deep snow and beautiul.

60 degrees at 7:15a.m. with smell of skunk in the air. That's a smell no one wants to get a whiff of. But Annie didn't pay any attention to it and didn't go hunting around my backyard so it hadn't crossed my way.

It rained during the night and may have more today and through out the week.

Oh boy, skunks, that is something we don't like to see around here. It is supposed to be warmer today so JT let the girls out this morning. They are having a great time stuffing up the leaves get the goodies from underneath. Everyone likes the warmer weather around here! We do still have spots of snow but that will be gone by late morning.

We are supposed to have crazy weather here all week. Sleet, and sun and cold off and on all week. Slippery sidewalks.
But cold! Brrrr.

Denise, it's 36, rainy, and chance of light snow - perfect day for me to stay in and piddle - and to write.

Woke to third day of rain - not complaining - we have been in a drought off and on - mainly on - for years so rain is always welcomed around here. Even the standing water makes me happy because I know it will seep down to the roots of my huge oak tree. Life is good this morning in a rain soaked northeast Texas.

Raining cats and dogs today. My backyard drains quickly because it's higher than my neighbors'. Hers looks like a lake but gradually it will drain into the yard behind her which is lower. In times like this it's good to be on high ground. Tomorrow should be sunny and dry. We needed the rain but it will be nice to see the sun again.

Marilyn has been without power for 64 hours as of an hour ago. Her cell phone battery is almost dead. She has plenty of water, oil lamps, and a wood stove and her gas stove.
I've had lots of rain here - my pond is over its banks. Several areas close by have houses that are flooded.

Yesterday I slipped going down my front 3 steps and have a huge bruise on my back above the hip. I can't believe how slippery the steps get. Doing okay other than that.

Our weather has been anywhere from light snow in other areas and we had sleet, and rain and wind and just COLD, I don't like cold!

That is just me.

Me, too, on the bruise. And I was lucky. I have one close neighbor, but she isn't always home. When I fell, it just so happened that her son-in-law was out on their porch, and saw me start down the stairs. I couldn't see him because my car was blocking my view. He said he saw me start down and saw my head suddenly disappear. He told his wife that he thought I fell, and he came running. I was ok, but was so glad someone saw me and was there.

Sunshine today and I am loving it. It makes me motivated to get things done. Cleaned out part of the garden. Won't be planting for a while but it will be ready when I am.

We had a front move through last night giving us a good rain. Today is bright and sunny , and they say another cold front is coming Friday that will put us back to the low 70s in the day and 40s at night. We have been about 10 degrees above normal the past 10 days and it has been way tooooooo HOT!!
