Well I found some Warm clothes tonight. It is thundering and raining now but tomorrow evening we could have a bit of snow. Nothing is ready for winter around here. Winter is early this year. The mid twenties with a twenty mile per hour North wind...Now that sounds cold to me brrrrrrrrr!!!

We were hoping for snow instead of rain today and we woke up to sleet. Not good for the travelers. The Farmer's Almanac says we are to get snow in early December but mostly rain this year. Not unusual for our area.

Well, our sleet has changed to snow. So pretty coming down! Not looking forward to the rain coming later but will enjoy this for now.

A cool front raced through last night dumping 1 1/2" of rain. Today is cloudy and overcast and only in the low 60s. Quite the change from yesterday's low 80s but a welcomed one!

Cold front is moving in and we're under a wind alert - 22-35 MPH with gusts 45 MPH. Handyman raked backyard leaves yesterday and my neighbor's too. Didn't have time to bag them all so looks like when he comes back on Monday he will have more leaves to rake. I wish today's wind would blow all the dead leaves down but there are plenty of green ones left. Leaves will be falling well into Jan.

All of our leaves are pretty much gone now. We had a lot of wind and rain last night. The rain was heavy at times but wouldn't have seemed as bad had the wind not been blowing so hard.

It has been a cool and muggy past 4 days and rain is predicted for today. It has been one of those temperature ranges that is too cold for AC but too warm for heat. The window are covered in condensation. UGH! After the rains, tomorrow is bringing some real chilly and drier weather for a few days and then it is back up to the 70s and next weekend is predicted to hit 81 by Sunday. It has been a roller coaster between too warm and too muggy/cool. We need some dry days to clear up all the mildew a bit.

Winnie wish I could send some of our cold air your way. It's 28 this morning and dry. Rain is in the forecast later in the week. Good day to piddle in the house and I do like to piddle.

The wind has been going and going since Sunday. Not real bad but tonight we are having 20-30 mph with gusts to 50. It really starts to get unnerving around day 3 for me.

Denise I know what you mean about the wind - I have few day that I don't have wind or at least a breeze - breezes are good.

Warming to the mid 60s tomorrow so I will resume canning dried beans in my Yellow Rose Cottage. I should have a week of canning weather before another cold front blows in.

I am excited to say that the past two nights we had temps in the upper 30s and days in the upper 50s!! I was delirious with joy!!! LOL!! Last night, my best friend and I celebrated by having coffee and sitting outside with all our woolies on and blankets to sit on!! LO!!! I know it sounds extreme, but we have had this tradition for years because we get so tired of the endless heat and humidity. But.............warm is heading back starting today and the weekend will have temps up to 84 for a few days. Off with the heat and back with the AC again!!!

Winnie it is cold here today but by Sunday we will be in the high 60's. Rain too but I will have to dodge the rain drops as I have things I need to get done outside.

Winnie, I'm so happy that you finally have had some cooler weather! 84 is not really that hot, here unless I'm in the car. Then A/C is needed. This time of year we seem to always have a cool breeze, so the warm sun is welcome. What I can't understand, is why the sun was so awfully HOT at times this summer! I had never seen new growth on plants shrivel up and be Crispy within a few hours, even though they were watered.
