That is sad! I don't usually think of things like that, because we rarely have snow. Thanks Debbie for opening my eyes and touching my heart with your post.

Oh Debbie I sure hope they all made it to their destinations.

The cold was blown back in. Enjoyed those 40 and 50 degree days. Noe it is 17. Under winter weather advisory but I don't think we well get much snow here. Supposed to start this evening. Hope it's not too bad as our son is traveling tonight.

Oh, no, Debbie. That sounds terrible. We had heard that Portland was getting a lot more snow than usual.

Woke up to 3 inches or so of snow on the ground. Looks so pretty.
Tybee is in no way interested in going out in it. His look of disdain makes me laugh. Bringing all the birds to the feeders.

Sounds beautiful, Denise. I got not during the night. I think the house was warm and it was 55° with slow gentle rain falling. Now we have clouds, a brisk COLD South wind, so it feels cold.

It finally quit snowing. Makes me just a smidgen sad that tomorrows rain will wash most of it away but I wouldn't mind some more Spring temps.

Rain is good but not as pretty as snow. I just came inside, after an hour and a half outside. Thankfully some of the time in the car, some outside, some in the barn. It sounded like it was raining hard while in the barn, tin roofs are noisy! But it is a good heavy drizzle. Every drop is welcome. My clothes are wet, as well as my shoes, but I am so thankful for temps in the 50s and little wind today...or else I'd be a popcicle!

Marilyn, glad you are getting the rain you want.
The snow only stopped for about 15 minutes and now it is coming down again.

I do think it will continue but I'll have to check our forecast. Thinking maybe it will change to rain overnight.

Sara, have you been outside? It is so cold! We have sunshine, temps in the 50s, but that wind from the North West is sooooooo cold.

Marilyn I've been outside just long enough to call Annie in and at that time it was just a breeze. Looking out my window now it looks like the wind is picking up. Coming out of the west you will get it before me.

It is cold but if you stand in the sun with a wall on your northwest side...it is ok.

That is for sure. I have wondered many times about those folks who use solar panels, how do they stay warm?? People really need to think about building ALL electric homes too. You really do need more than one way to cook/ heat your home.

Marilyn most people who use solar panels still have electric.
It's just that when they are getting it from the sun, they are technically selling extra they don't use back to the electric company so when they do need electric they sometimes have a credit or they just have small bills

We had a sunny day today! 58 and cool wind. 60 and sunny tomorrow. We got cold temps coming back Saturday, only high of 41! After I saw Julie's -2 degree low, I felt I didn't need to complain! LOL!

It was sunny and cool today here. My son, dil, and one of his guys had to go out west on I 20 to the Cisco area and help the A.C. Man get two units up on top of a twenty plus foot high building, without his sky trac. He said it was hard hard work. I was so glad my dil went along. And I thanked God for taking them safely there, helping them get the units up there with no one getting injured and bringing them safely home. Then this evening the wind really got up. They say we may see 78 tomorrow and 80 on Friday before the p!unge!
