My friends who live thirty miles away, put in a pool, about twenty years ago. He is a brick collector, so they go to several brick swaps each yesr...all over the U S A. Anyway he built several little brick patios over the back yard and pool area. It is so nice to sit and visit out there.

It was foggy here last night. We still could see the full moon.
We are in for snow today. It is 26 right now with a high of 30 today. Snow most of the day. They don't always get it right so we take it as it comes.

Meanwhile, we got to 80 today and there is more humidity. Spring is just bursting forth with in all directions. Our trees are even getting all of their new little green leaves. It worries me that Summer will arrive earlier which ends up making for a long haul until it cools off next November!!

Nice here though still a bit chilly. The sun is out and the snow is almost gone but now the mud. Went out to give the girls (hens) their treats and almost ended up on my backside from all the mud and muck in their yard. Going to have to change their yard up a little so the grass can grow there again. If there weren't so many of them I'd use a chicken tractor setup.

Denise, I have to be so careful because the mud is so slick...I went to the arena and got some waste hay, which I scattered all over the muddy entrance area. It did keep me from falling. Since we have had so many cloudy drizzly days I need to bring more hay up today. Besides my four older hens could use fresh next box hay. I only get one egg every other day from tnem, so I sort of hate to disrupt the hole they made in the hay to lay the eggs in. Have you ever had your hens cover the eggs or hide them?

I haven’t seen those pictures of the snow there Marilyn. I guess Las Angela’s is suffering from the freezing cold, they aren’t used to it.
We are having a nice day but are expecting a lot of rain tomorrow I think maybe seven inches, I hope not,

Hugs

Seven inches is a lot of rain if it falls in a short period. Please be safe. Best to stay home probably. I just read that we can expect strong winds tomorrow gusts as high as 40mph, as a new norther is coming in. It has been foggy here all day...so much so that I called my son about 8:00 pm and asked if they were at home. I thought their house was dark! The fog!

We are in for lots of rain this afternoon and tomorrow with high winds on Monday. Gusts of more than 40 mph. We usually see downed wires when it is like that.

I hope the rain doesn’t do it all in one day, I want to go to church tomorrow, I have to cross the river.

The rain we have been getting since last night has been slow and steady and reminds me of the gentle Spring rains. Maybe, hopefully the groundhog was right!

Well there are possible flood warnings for the river through Tuesday at this moment and a light rain so I can go to Church.

Yay.
Have a blessed day all

We are supposed to get anywhere from 9-12 inches....we'll see. Sometimes those weather people are a little dramatic. But church was canceled this morning, which never happens. Probably bc the roads aren't plowed.

My daughter in law sister in Wisconsin, sent her several pictures of the blizzard they were having. She was standing by the kitchen sink when one of her son's took her photo. The snow out side the widow was almost as high as the roof. The picnic table was almost unrecognizable. She told Julie that some of the farmers who house their cows inside barns, had lost animals as well as barns due to the snow being so heavy that the barn roofs gave way and crashed down on the cows. So sad.

The promised wind kicked in last night. Blowing much worse than it should. I slept through most of the night which is a feat because normally it keeps me awake. Still going strong this morning.

35 feels like 29 - hi of 56 - mostly cloudy but sun is out now. Took the bay tree out to the deck this morning and will bring it in for the night. Second day to do it. Hope to have it outside all the time by mid March.
