When I watered yesterday I took a picture of the mud and my son's arena, etc. Then I sent it to him and said, I guess God didn't think you had enough puddles so he sent you some more. It is very windy now!

Rained all night here. Cloudy today. Much cooler temps the next few days. A customer gave me this yarrow about 1996. It has never bloomed. Looks like it has buds! We had to take down 2 oak trees that were 75 yrs old, so more sun. And my husband stoped cutting it down thinking ,it was a weed!

Yarrow does have some medicinal value, I believe I read something about gathering the flower heads, drying them and then making a tea to help with your aches and pains. But then most weeds do have value. Even my husband is finally admitting it is true.

I think our Easter spell got all mixed up...It came for Mother's Day instead!
We are 48° with a cold North wind blowing!
Honestly it feels like a winter day with grey clouds everywhere.
I'm happy that we don't have the white stuff like Shannon and Debbie Fischer.
Sherry did the tornado in Longview affect you or your loved ones???
Debbie Klann do you have snow too???

A friend on Facebook posted about a bad storm and some flooding. I think she's in SW area. I'm terrible at geography so didn't know where you all are in relation to her.

We are South of 1-20, between Abilene and Ft. Worth/ Dallas. The weather folks call this area, several counties, North central Texas.

I was reading about the weather in Texas too, I am glad you are ok Marilyn!

Yarrow is used for medicine here too, but it grows like crazy.
Stay dry and safe!

Oh dear girls!
It rained about ten minutes last evening after being dark and dreary. Before that the sun came out a couple hours. Today is supposed to be sunny so will get mowing and as much done as possible while we can.

Rained during the night and more today. Should be last of it for awhile. Bobby's funeral was on Thurs and the grave could not be opened because of the saturated ground. Will try again on Monday. Betty's faith has served her well and she is doing okay.

Linda I love the thumbs up - says it all about Texas grit and attitude.

So sorry, Sara. Hopefully they can get it done on Monday.

So much rain lately has made my pastures super muddy. The horses track the water into my small barn and it has water in it too. Luckily, Ed had mowed both passengers with his tractor and the grass with the riding lawn mower before them this last bout of rain came through.

We had almost three inches overnight! We had the same on the 8th then an inch, then two more , so I think that is nine inches of blessing rain. Hadlee told us that one lightening strike was so close, her room shook and she heard something fall off the wall.

It woke her up for sure. I'm sure she was scared. Lightening is not to be messed with! I always worry about the animals. Then I ask God to care for them. But I know the two horses in the pen just below the barn do seek shelter, there is just enough room at the end of the alley for them to stand and the evidence says they do. Poop!
