It would be nice if the hot weather is over but I doubt it here. We're usually warm til the week before Halloween. I know that because It seemed like I always had some skimpy costume planned and then the weather changed and I froze at the outdoor parties our friends used to have.

Judith, It is still warm enough here at Halloween. We start out with sweatshirts because it's cold but by the time we walk around everyone is sweating. So I take a light jacket so I can take it off. Some years though, like last year, it was so cold I would have given anything for some earmuffs. The wind starts to really pick up in the early evening.

The only time I had a sweater on in the past four months was the evening we were by the ocean. Here at home sometimes in the late afternoon/early evening we get our Delta breeze which helps cool us a bit. Fortunately we don't usually have high humidity.

88 feels like 95 but the sun feels a little bit more mellower and kinder when I venture outside. I'll take mellower & kinder especially since our morning are a lot cooler.

Was beautiful again today. I have to check the temps for NY this weekend to see if I'll need to take a sweater with me. Much cooler there than here.

It's 90 here today even though it doesn't feel that warm. may be due to low humidity.

Almost 3 pm and 90°. The sun is hot, but not
Unbearable! This week has been the perfect early autumn week, cool mornings and cool evenings, with cool breezy nights. Day time temps about 90 with a nice cool breeze.

It's beautiful up here at my home state. The leaves have just started to turn a little bit. It was so nice sitting out in the sunshine and cool breeze. Went to my aunt's birthday party. We surprised her by showing up and it made her so happy. Will go and visit with her a little bit today. Was able to snag a photo of her.

You are blessed to have a happy aunt.I'm glad you got to go "home" for a visit, Denise.
I ordered some wool roving for needle felting yesterday, from a lady in Vermont. I asked her if I could have autumn colors, like she has surrounding her in autumn. She said they only have a tiny bit now but it will become very colorful soon. Someone said it was 38° in Northern New Hampshire yesterday morning. They are dropping rapidly up there! We are 70°
The weather guessers say we can look forward to day time temps in the 80s next week... ALL WEEK long. First we must be 93 today and tomorrow and 92 on Monday...must have a norther on its way.

Thank you girls. We went back over yesterday for a visit and she's ready to make it to 100!
It's 56 here this morning. We are heading home this morning where the high is 84. It's suppose to be beautiful for us at home this week.

Marilyn I may try my hand at needle felting this winter. I would like to make sheep. Let us know how yours turns out and how you like doing it.

Denise so happy you enjoyed your visit.

hi 94 today - it helps that our mornings are cooler at 72 rather than 80 - no rain in sight and we need it

Sara, I actually ordered roving, needles, etc several years ago. And I made cute little sheep. I put them on a very small Christmas tree. They were really cute...but for some reason Mr. Twister , the cat liked them too. He stole them and when I saw roving and a tiny back leg in the floor, I knew he was guilty. So I took the ones he had not destroyed and put them away.
He gets so excited about shrimp roving and black eyed peas! He is one strange kitty!

Hopefully, I will get something made and I will take a photo just for you.

Thanks Marilyn I'll be looking for your picture.

Checked our weekly forecast and we'll be in the low 90s for a couple more weeks.

Denise -- that looks lovely! I wish I was there. Our predictions are for 80s this week and back to 90s next week. but we actually had sprinkles this morning. Not enough to do any good; just enough to mess up my car but it needs washing anyway.

Denise, -- Cool might be relative; what I consider cool might be considered nice and balmy in Vermont :-) We usually get a fair amount of frost in the mornings in winter; usually January and February are the coldest months. In the 36 years I've lived here the coldest temp was 15 degrees and broke pipes. We get snow about once every 20 years. What we get here in the valley is fog, thick tule fog sometimes with zero visibility. Back when I was working if I couldn't see across the street I would call work and tell them I would be there when the fog cleared enough to drive.
