It never did reach 60 here. It hovered around 55 all day. Still had a lot of wind.

42 degrees when I got up this morning. It sure felt like it when I went out this morning too! Maybe it felt cooler as it is still a bit breezy. Hoping it warms up some as I need to get some outdoor things done.

We are 47 at 7am. Looks like we are now in the pattern of a new norther blowing in every three or four days. So our last 90 degree day is Sunday. But we have sunny days for about a week. I love sunny cooler days. Thank you, God, for a short Indian summer, which gives us more autumn days. I love you.

There is another weather maker boiling up in the Gulf and rushing towards the northwest coast of Florida. It should just be a rain maker for us unless the path changes to be lower in the state as it crosses. They are saying there could be wind gusts as high as 50 mph and heavy flooding rains. We have been in a drought and we need the rain, but not the wind! In anticipation of this weather maker, it is currently about 70 and last night was low 60s. It is much better than the past few days in the upper 80s and humid!! At least I can open the windows for a nice change.

We are in for a rainy day here again today. With the high only reaching 59. A great fall day in my mind! Time to cozy up with a cup of something warm and maybe a good book this afternoon. I hope the rain it doesn't bring wind with it.

Well the coole weather was short lived! AC back on yesterday as humidity climbed and the storm sent light burst of showers all day long. We didn’t get the bad winds like other parts of northern Florida for which I am happy. Today through Tuesday is upper 80s again and humid. Possible lows at night after more rain passes on Tuesday so we keep trying down here to drag fall across the stage line for more than a few hours!,LOL!!

We are supposed to see 90° this afternoon about 4pm. Then we get a North wind. Today is the last "hot" day for us. Somewhere, about a month ago I read that this year our first frost could be Nov.4th. The way the temps continue to drop, I would not be surprised. But our first frost has been as late as mid Dec. I hope it is ear!y this year. After all, November is the moon of the red grass, and it always appears a deeper red color after the frost.

Here is east Texas we are under a tornado watch until 2 AM. There has been a tornado on the ground near Love Field in Dallas, and warnings in the Dallas area and east.

Sara please stay safe. The storms are heading to the northeast.

We are in that same watch area. I sort of think my sister may live in that area near Love Field, but I'm not sure. Be safe Linda. God bless you.

You stay safe, too, Marilyn. We may get a piece of both of the storms - hopefully they won't merge before they get here.

Well from the looks of things we did have a twister visit last night...actually about 2am. Funny thing it went right down through the oak trees beside our lane.
Baylee was trying to get to the hospital when she found the lane was blocked by big hunks of a tree. She called her dad.
So when my son got to her they could not see the debris on down the lane. He told her to drive in the grass and try to go around the first big limbs. That was when they got a glimpse of the other three trees on down toward the gate.
I thought lightening strike, but he said no. The debris was too far from the trees. And since lightening has struck two trees near the horse barn, he knows.

Thankfully you are safe Marilyn. Wonder how Linda fared.

It is a cool sunny day here after the rains yesterday. It poured all afternoon and evening. Finally quit around midnight. I enjoy rain but not the continual downpour like that.

I saw photos this morning on TV of twister damage in many states. Glad you and your property were not injured badly. We had some pretty nasty twisters here in the northern and northwestern areas of Florida.

Today, it is awfully humid as showers are supposed to happen this afternoon or evening. AC is back on because it is just wet and sticky inside without it. sigh. We need some cool air to stick around!!

My son could not finish cutting the huge limbs. He has food poisoning, throwing up and diarreah. Chills sent him to bed As soon as he got the lane passable. So he still has work to do when he feels better.

We were okay - however, Ed was up on my roof at 11 PM last night because the first wave of winds and rain blew down one of the wind turbines off the roof (the wind turns the top and send air into the attic). With it off, there is about a 10" hole in the roof, and with more storms coming, as soon as the first bout of storms stopped, be went up and replaced the turbine, after first drilling out a rivet that broke and replacing it with a nut and small bolt. I was a nervous wreck with him up on the roof. This old house has a steep, now wet, roof and he is an older man (yes, he is, even if he thinks sometimes he is still a kid) and his footing is not always as good. He got it on and made it safely down. Oh, all this was done in the dark, with his spot light, and the house was dark too, because our power was out. After he got it back on, we went into the RV where we used the generator to watch the news on tv and have some popcorn and hot chocolate (which Ed made me - yes, he is a keeper). As soon as the storm was again close to us, we came back into the house where we had more protection, and went to bed. There was a LOT of rain and it was very windy. I fell asleep, but this morning Ed says the power came back on at 2:48 am; he was still up because he couldn't sleep. I'm sure glad that is over.

Dallas has a lot of damages - a Home Depot was completely destroyed, a church damaged, numerous schools were badly damaged, other businesses, numerous million dollar homes with heavy damage, etc. It was not a good night for Dallas.
