Sadly, I haven't gotten to my apples! Jenni has been terribly sick - I'm thinking RSV. Today I am working on green tomato salsa. I'm hoping to start zucchini relish tonight as it has to sit for 12 plus hours before you continue. Then next on my list will be apple pie filling and apple pie jam. Once those are done, it will be apple butter and applesauce. o.O

Prayers for Jenni! You sure are busy. I discovered Apple pie jam some years back and everyone seems to love It! I give it for gifts every year.

Shannon, prayers for jenni. Are you running the diffuser with essential oils to help her breathe better. R S V is so frightening.
Ok call me dumb, but what is Apple pie jam?

Thanks guys! Jenni is still miserably sick. I am running a diffuser with thieves and putting eucalyptus oil in a carrier oil on her chest at night. A couple of the other kids have respiratory infections as well, but it is she that worries me!

Marilyn - apple pie jam is the best jam in the world... well, along with strawberry jam, lol. Anyways, here is the recipe I follow - https://creativehomemaking.com/recipes/canning/apple-pie-jam/

Thanks Shannon!for the recipe. My mother used to pin "foggie rags" (long o )to our gowns so they would stick to our chests. I never asked her for specifics, although Vicks salve and turpentine come to mind. ??? She would spread her concoction on a wash cloth with a tongue depressor then when all three were ready she would hold it up to warm it a bit over the heater and we each got plastered.
Off to bed, sweet smelly dreams.
I'm glad you are running the diffuser.
