Marilyn, mine are just up through the ground. I'm surprised with our temps this low that they are up at all. In the 20s right now. We have green grass but then we've had rain a lot this winter.
I know I'm headed where they are still getting snow. It is supposed to rain the day we are traveling as we get closer to them we will run into it.
Spent most of this week in the office so today is cleaning day. I like to come home to a clean home when traveling.
JT saw bluebirds out yesterday! I sure hope they know what they are doing. I know it is possible for us to still get snow from now till April.
Hope you all have a great day.

Does anyone know a farmgirl in Texas who might be interested in my farmhouse? I may put a notification on MJF.

Thank you, Marilyn. I need rest. We got home at about 8:30 last night, went to bed, and woke up around 8 am. I guess we needed it.

Of course, I came home with my allergies, and the inside of my nostrils still hasn't completely healed from the Mohs surgery and radiation, so that makes the drainage hurt my nose. Phooey!

Linda -- Get some good rest, take care of your nose, then tell us all about your trip when you feel like it.

Linda, I'm sorry for your nasal issues.
Didn't y'all come home with allergies after your cruise to the Panama area too?
I remember the smell on our cruise ship. It was not bad but there was a certain odor from our shower...My sister did not notice, but my nose told me that was my one and only cruise.

Ladies, on the subject of allergies, colds and flu...please be proactive. If you must go to the grocery store or Wal-Mart or any where, for that matter take some hand sanitizer in your purse. ( you can buy gel in a pump top bottle, a small purse size bottle, wipes sealed in a foil packet for single use, or a small spray bottle. When I finally found a giant sized bottle with a pump, I bought it. So now I can refill my purse size and the pump bottle I keep in my car.)
Masks, they do help, so you don't get as many germs, but if you soak several masks in colloidal silver it makes them better!
Lots of people wear them now. I used them when was going thru chemo, on the rare occasions that I went out in public.
Elderberry syrup, honey with garlic cloves, and the combo of fermented veggies and citrus, with not peppers all do a good job of preventing sickness. (I can't think of what they call it at the moment.)
My honey and garlic is a year and a half old, and it works well. Elderberry syrup can be purchased, or you can buy the berries and make your own. The fermentation process on the veggie mix takes four to six weeks, then you strain the liquid from the veggies...that is the medicine you take a couple of Tablespoon each day.
I brought this up because there is talk of a new deadly flu. With all of the fake news these days...who knows? But it never hurts to be proactive.

Fire tonic is what the fermented veggies mix is called.

Elderberry syrup is an excellent sickness deterrent. Don't have any here with me. Wish I would have thought to bring some.

I'll have to find some elderberry syrup. Sounds like it is worth trying.

Good ideas, Marilyn! I have been using sanitizing wipes religiously whenever I get back in the car from getting groceries. And washing my hands as soon as I walk in the door. I didn't get a flu shot so I am doing whatever I can on my end to stay healthy.
Linda, hope that your nose is feeling better! I imagine it is very uncomfortable.

I think I am going to have to remember my elderberry syrup when visiting next time. Baby has double ear infection and 3 yr old went to dr. today and she has strep. I head back tomorrow. Hoping I don't take anything with me.

Our WalMart did not have the syrup, so I got some capsules. When is the best time to take them? I also got some liquid silver. It says you can take 3 tsp a day? Again, when is the best time to take this? And it just tastes like water. LOL!

Thank you, Denise. The capsule bottle says 1 a day, and I was taking it in the morning. I guess I could also take one at night? The Liquid Silver bottle says 1-3 times a day.
