Yes, Whitman’s and I think Russell Stover are still making candy here in the US. Whitman samplers were the iconic gift for house gifts or special holiday gifts when I was growing up. We all hoped that a Whitmans would come to our house when we were kids growing up!

I guess when we really think about it, we remember a lot of them. I love Vermont Country store and I know others here use them too.

Yes, I love the Vermont Country Store too and have ordered from it in the past. On our first visit ever to Vermont one summer with the girls, we stopped at the store. It was amazing!! The girls love getting a little brown bag and picking out candy to enjoy. They taught that was really neat! I love how they still have been able to resource products that were like what was available in the 40s and 50s. They have an telephone that looks just like the one I grew up with in our home. I am tempted to get one for my desk just for looks. We only have cell phones now because of the way our internet bundles everything and the various price points each bundle costs.

I too love Vermont Country Store. They had the candy my Dad loved and they have non-steam irons that don't leave marks on fabric or cause little pieces to catch in the holes. Ido wonder if all their products are American made.

Judith,
No, not all of their products are American made. They do import some things but it usually says where they get it from or it will say it is imported.
