Well this morning I am finishing my cards for the card swap, as I listen to a video about Tasha Tudor. Notice I said listen. I will need to watch it later. I love Tasha Tudor. Her lifestyle ... Much like my grandma.

Linda,
What a great way to make use of those scraps! So pretty too.

Marilyn,
Tasha Tudor is one of my favorites. Do you have any of her books. Gladys Favor is another favorite. So many women who come before us and shared with us their lives.
I've learned so much from them.

I love the quilt blocks Linda.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Here is the selvage spider web top I have made. Trying to decide how to border it - maybe with selvage piano key border like the Library quilt shows.

Here is the container with all of my selvages. It is on wheels, so I can roll from my closet room to quilting room. I have one of these with fabric scraps and this one with selvages. I found them at a resale place; they were originally for sports equipment. Since the Library quilt calls suggests the white selvage bordered pieces, the pile on the floor in the picture is the other side of the fabric selvage when the fabric pattern goes to the edge. Saving them for another project.

Linda, I love that bright and colorful quilt you made from scraps!! Gorgeous and fun!

Today, I finished my Weather Badge expert level. I had to keep a month long log as the last requirement. It was fun and we wrapped up the month with a humdinger of a thunder storm last night. Winds blew, rain fell in torrents sideways, and the sky lit up with huge and long streaks of lightening and thunder. It was a show to beat the band for over two hours! Nothing like finishing up a weather badge with a bang!! LOL!!

Linda -- a Piano key border would be pretty, maybe alternating the selvedges with the red?

Somewhere I have some foundation piecing my grandma was working on when she got too old and sick to continue. She made a spider web quilt, see.s like she used black where you used red. I love the red. The web's really pop.

Judith I got your apron today. I love the fabrics you chose. Thank you! Oh, and I found the surprises when I tried it on. Tea bags in the pockets! Thank you!
I love the found letter post card! I will take pictures later and put them where they belong. Th a ks.

Winnie, that storm sounds exciting! I love a good thunderstorm. We didn't have anything like that when I did my weather badge. I guess I did it during a "quiet" time of year, weather wise. I wish I would have been keeping a journal last spring when we got over 4 feet of snow in a couple of weeks...that would have been fun to record every day!

Winnie, it sounds like you had a good ole Texas/Oklahoma thunderstorm. I love one when the garden seems to be struggling ...thunder and lightening will wake the plants up and boy do they grow!

Thank you, Denise. I have been collecting selvages for a long time, and this is an easy project.

I love a good frog strangler thunderstorm, too. Lots of rain, thunder and lightning. I don't like when they get to tornadic levels, though.

I love the sewing basket in the background of your photo. Would love to find one somewhere sometime in my travels.

Working on some projects for the annual apple swap. I want to make sure I get everything done before the swap shows up.

Denise check out antique stores. That one has legs. I think they were popular about 50 years ago.

I bought that sewing basket from a friend. I love it. I have seen them in antique stores, and in a thrift shop once.

There are 2 on ebay $39 and $42. And several on Marketplace. I'd keep watching in your area.

Finally got it done! Every time I walked into the bathroom I would say, I need to make a curtain to cover up my supplies. Its a vintage desk, good storage, light bulbs and hand soap, trash bags to empty little pans, lotions ,manicure supplies in the drawers. The place where the chair goes is a great storage place for toilet paper. Cost just 7.00, a tension rod and less than a yard of material. Cheaper than a bathroom makeover! My house was built in the 1980's, no good storage in any room! Too hot to do anything outside!!

I may steal that. Both the master and middle bathrooms in this house have vanity cut-outs like that and I don't NEED vanities. I do have chairs I can put there, but they just take up space. I may add a curtain like that - at least in one of them. Love yours.

Good idea. I made a curtain for the bookcase in the kitchen to hide the clutter.

Thanks ya'll. If you need to put things there, at least they are hidden! Now I gotta clean off the top!! I use to keep things more put away, but with my numbness in my feet from Ms I have to do what saves me steps.
