Love the selvedge quilts. The fabric under the counter is cute. It reminds me of a dresser I had with skirt when I was little.
Connie, so sorry the MS messes with your life.

Connie, I love your desk and curtain. When we put my pantry cabinets in our kitchen, I put a curtain across the bottom shelves. Since my husband built the base, and I was in a hurry to paint and set it up before my summer evaporated, I was still teaching, I chose not to add doors. The top cabinets are real, with doors, etc. Now, since I redid the bottom...two years ago...putting five gallon food grade buckets with gamma seal lids that replaced the tub storage...I have no curtain.it is ok. When I pull out a bucket of sugar, flour instant potatoes etc...it is easier with no curtain. When I ran the restaurant...they had left the bottom cabinets in the corner out. So that was where I kept those essentials like flour and sugar. They were on rolling bases, and sooooooooooooo nice!

Connie,
Your curtain is adorable and adds a sweet touch as well as helping to hide storage space.

Connie, what a simple and pretty solution to your bathroom cubby! I am all about making do sometimes because sometimes it is the simple solution that meets the need better than a make over solution.

Thank you, Darlene, and everyone else. I will post the quilt top when finished today. I am loving working with the selvages. I found a neat selvage and denim purse on Pinterest this morning and want to make one. LOL!

I also joined the bowl filler swap and know exactly what I'm making for that - and - NO! - it is not with selvages. Well, maybe not. It didn't start out to be selvages. LOL! No selvages this time; maybe next?

I did make a ribbon with the selvages and I kinda like the way it turned out.

Look forward to seeing the finished top Linda.

I am finishing up binding a quilt today and I am 32 inches short of my goal. Lol. Isn't that the way of things. I will make sure I have enough for next one.

While doing my quilting rest I'm working on merit badges. I've done a lot of requirements but when it comes time to write it all up I tend to drag my feet. But, as they say, no job is complete until the paperwork i done so I'm doing the paperwork and trying not to get distracted. I got my latest Primitive Quilts magazine in the mail yesterday and it's made me wish I hadn't sworn off new projects until my UFO's are done. I will be strong, I will not start a new project. Really, I won't start one.......

I haven't heard of that quilt magazine. I'll have to look it up.

Here is the finished selvage top. I finished it about 30 minutes ago. I like how it turned out. Now to get it quiltee or try doing it myself. I'm trying to decide if it needs batting or just a backing fabric, since it is all done on a foundation. Maybe just a piece of flannel for batting.

Looks great! Maybe flannel backing since it's on foundation? How big is it? Could be a nice tablecloth, too.

It is 60x60. I was thinking flannel because of the foundation muslin.

I love the colors - selvage quilts are definitely busy quilts.

Judith,
That's what I have said. Nothing till the ufos are done. I have enough of those to keep me busy for quite some time. I did get two things almost done but ran a bit short of my goal so I need to get some things to be able to finish them off. In the mean time I am going to get back to a cross stitch that I started quite some time ago and keep setting aside. I'll see how far I can get on that project.

Linda, the selvage top came out great. Very pretty.
I have a pattern for a log cabin quilt that is done on foundation. A friend gave it to me before she passed away. She had made each of her 3 children one and her husband. She had me finish the one for her husband before she passed and gave me the pattern. They were such heavy quilts. There was only a backing on hers. I guess with them being so heavy there was no need for batting. I have everything to make that quilt but I just never have made it to that project yet.

A friend of mine was just telling me about a woman she knows who when she does a project, she works on it until it is finished. Only buys what she needs for it and so doesn't have any stash or anything because she only works on one thing at a time. Can you imagine that? Lol.

LOL! One project at a time? I guess I learned from my mother - she, like me, always had multiple things going on at once. I don't want to get bored. LOL!

I am just going one at a time. When I get done I will have lowered my stash considerably. Hoping to move someday so maybe I will have less to pack. Lol.
