Well, I finally finished that scarf. All I need is to tie off the ends and block it

And now to knit the mittens ....

I have the thumb to knit ... love those 4" double pointed needles.

Gorgeous mittens, Carole!! I love the colors and pattern. They will be perfect for all the cold snowy months you have up where you live.

Beautiful, Carole! You have inspired me to start over on the little fox hat that I started for my granddaughter. It has matching mittens, too!

Thank you Darlene, Winnie, Bonnie & Debbie for your kind comments on my scarf. Much appreciated.

Debbie, glad you are inspired. I do enjoy knitting ... I find it so relaxing. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

I just realized that I forgot to share a little quilt I made for Valentine's day. It is made from flannel and wool. The pattern is called Love Each Other by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings. It was part of their wool box project. Always a treat to get fun mail ... even if you pay for it

Very pretty Carole. I was wondering about the PG small boxes; maybe I'll give it a try.
I am wondering why I'm not getting any Farmgirl email from the forums......

Carole, they are lovely. Wish I had more time to learn to knit more things. I only know knit and purl at the present. Most of that is done on afghans and dishcloths. Those take me a very long time. I have crocheted most of my life and it seems to come much easier for me. But I just love knit things!

Hello everyone

Thank you for your kind words on my projects. I finished this little quilt just in time for St Patrick's day! The instructions called for hand embroidering the shamrock but I went with hand dyed wool.

Catch you all later! Cheers

My quilting room is slowly getting there. With all the orders to stay in place, I have time to try and get things organized. My shelving, sewing counter and cube storage for fabrics and books is there; I just need to start filling it up. I have lots of tubs of fabric in the quilting "closet" (which is a 10'x11' room) - just need to put it in the cubes. I'm itching to finish some projects, and that will be where I start once the room is ready.

Carole -- I love your St Patricks Day quiltlet.
My quilt guild cancelled meetings but mailed out this months mystery quilt directions so that is my project for later today today. It should keep me busy for a while as it is the last block so I can put it all together and make a border, quilt it, and be done.

Now is good time to work on something creative while we're all supposed to be staying home. I was joking with my husband today, saying this is what those of us who are introverted quilters/knitters/crafters have been "training for"...haha! Either that, or baking. The baking smell is comforting but I don't really need the extra goodies laying around the house.

Debbie, you are so right!
We seem to be using the time to get home improvement projects done. They have been on the back burner for so long. So this is a good time to get them done. This Saturday JT is going to replace the wood where the back porch gutter is attached. We had the gutters replaced and they just put them up there on the wood that was rain soaked and rotted so now the gutter is coming away from the house.
We have just a couple of jobs after that that aren't maintenance but really need to be finished off.

A lot of people have been at Home Depot doing just that - home projects. That’s one thing good about this - getting stuff done that was on the back burner.
