I'm getting better. My left shoulder and arm still bother me but God gave me a bit of relief today. Thank you for asking Debbie.
How are you doing?

Wondered if you be willing to pray my daughter Jess. She's in the hospital waiting for surgery. They admitted her yesterday and because the surgeon is now booked they are scheduling her for Monday.
Her dh is at home with the children. Asking for doctors as well. No one can go in to see her. Thanks.

Thank you Linda. It means a lot to know people are praying. Even though they are married with their own children I guess you never stop worrying for them.

Good thoughts and virtual hugs going your way. This is a terrible time to be in the hospital with no family allowed. Hoping for a speedy recovery. No -- you never stop worrying about them. My kids are all i their fifties and I still worry.

Thank you so much ladies! Just wanted to let you know that God is already answering prayer. They moved things up and she should be home sometime tomorrow. They rescheduled her surgery for tomorrow instead of Monday.

Marilyn,
This is the daughter who lives nearby. I will have the children when her dh goes to pick her up and I already have a meal ready to take over for her first night home. I plan to go over and make sure she has whatever she needs when her husband is at work. She is supposed to be recuperating for at least a couple of weeks so I am praying she will heed that advice. She is a worker and tends to do when she should be resting.
I appreciate your continued prayers.

Denise~~

Glad you are healing, Marilyn. I didn't have a fall, but somehow during this move I strained or sprained a muscle in my upper right arm. It hurts when I reach for something or twist it in a certain way - it happened about 4 weeks ago and is getting better, but not as quickly as I'd like. Since I am right-handed it is hard NOT to use it, which my husband, nurse-Ed, says would be best.

My orthopaedic doctor/surgeon said to me, when I begged him to exray my right arm, which I said felt like it was broken, 'it's not broken your shoulder is trying to freeze up!'
So a few miserable weeks later I went back to see him again. Again he said ,the same thing. But he wrote a prescription and sent me to the rehab place, there They gave me a pully device that I hang over a closed door. Long story short, that was my right arm, the next time it was my left, and the third time it was both. Heating pad helps. If I could go back to age 20...

Her surgery was longer than expected but she is out of recovery and in her room. They will discharge her tomorrow. Relieved all went well. Now if she will just follow doctors orders on resting.

If her kids are not toddlers they can be a huge help to her. She will more than likely be sore, and that should make her want to rest. Sleep is the best healer, which I discovered at 31 when I had my hysterectomy.
