Men are often terrible patients.
I had a total hysterectomy and was only in the hospital for two days; they wanted me out for the holiday and sent me home with no instructions whatsoever and I never even saw my doctor. I got an infection from the staples. I didn't want to go back to work so bad that I was figuring out how long I would have to work to build up 6 weeks of sick leave again.... I finally healed and felt better than I had ever felt before.

They didn't cut much. Four little slits. I think it is done with a tiny camera and lasers or some such thing. They did a lot while in there. Fortunately she only takes Tylenol when needed. It's just the soreness from having them in there and getting everything healed and working properly again.
Once they got in there they realized there were a couple of other issues so took care of those too.

Praying that Jess gets stronger each day!!!
Marilyn, that is funny! I agree...men are not the best of patients!
I remember Brad's grandma always telling the story of how after she had had her baby, she was to lay flat on her back for 2 weeks in the hospital. And then when she was finally allowed to sit up and swing her legs over the side of the bed, she was so dizzy. No wonder! Now you are up and walking in no time! I think it is much better now in that regard...even if it's the last thing you really want to be doing.

Denise, it sounds like they were able to go the operation with a Laparoscope which makes recovery much faster. The new ability to use the scope procedure has been wonderful and saved so many patients from the old full incision approach. The results are the same, the healing is faster, and the patient is up and recovery greatly reduced. I am happy to learn that she had this scope procedure and the fact hat Tylenol is enough for pain is wonderful!!

Dear sisters, each of you is so special, to me, to your families but most of all to God.
I pray that each and every one of you have a safe and enjoyable summer. I pray that God blesses us all with good health. Tonight I am so thankful for my farm sisters, that my Had brought us each one special chocolate from Hico, Texas, that my Bay called me, and God sent us a surprise blessing rain shower. Thank you God!
Please know that the ugliness of po!itics will not last. God is in control and He Wins! God, our Heavenly Father will make everything right. Last night my husband was listening to some guy on the radio.
He said the guy was in the middle, I heard negative. . .I told my husband I do not like negative talk. So when I hear a bit, I quickly find a happy farm sister(s), a homesteading family, a comedian or Bible songs.etc.
So we all need to keep our chins up, and our eyes on God. Bless you all.

She spends some time embroidering since she can't do much else. That's a win for both of us because I've been cleaning out my stash. Lol.

I didn't realize how long it had been since I had posted. I have been praying for all my hen house sisters. Getting older is not for sissies. I hope all of you who have needs will heal soon.

Denise, I am so happy to hear that your daughter is doing much better!! What a relief for her and her family that she is feeling better and better every day. There is nothing more disrupting in a family than to have a mom or dad out of commission!!

She went to her follow up and all is well. She can increase the amount she can lift over time. So glad everything is good. I know she is glad too as she gets tired of sitting around.

Could you all please keep Jami Bolton in your prayers? I think that many of you girls know her from the main forum. I just heard that she is really sick....an acute sinus infection, pleurisy and dehydration. If she isn't better by Monday, they will do an xray to check for pneumonia if her COVID test is negative. She said it's very hard for her to breathe right now and she struggles with a weakened immune system. Thank you!!!!
