I'm a little late but Hello to February!

We started February with a warm 58 degree day and now we have 20's with sleet and snow. It looks like we won't get as much as they predicted, 5-7 inches. I woke to sleet coming down and everything is iced over from the rain we got yesterday. It will be messy out there.

Anyone have any special plans for Valentine's day?

Wishing you all a wonderful month filled with love and joy!

Wow, January went by quickly. The snowstorm that was predicted has arrived! Grateful to be working from home. I so enjoy a snowstorm!

Not much going on here. Plugging away at various UFO projects. Fired up my Bernina last weekend and did some piecing on a quilt that's been on the my design wall for the past couple of years! Yea, you read that right! I think this new found motivation is coming from a decision I made to re-organized my home. I'll take it!

No plans for Valentine's day. Maybe I'll give myself some flowers!

Winnie, thank you for the heart. When I posted on the RAOK thread, I was thinking of Connie and put the wrong name. The heart is adorable. So sorry about that.

Hope everyone is well. Cheers!

No special Valentine's Day plans yet. We usually keep it low key. If we got snow, I would be the happiest girl ever!

No plans for Valentine’s Day for me just going home.
Happy February to you. All?

We have no Valentine plans - Ed has a Dr. Appt that day. I do have a Valentine card for him - hidden somewhere around here. LOL! I should be able to find it in 11 days.

My annual mammogram was scheduled for tomorrow; but yesterday, due to the weather forecast here for today and tomorrow, they called and rescheduled for March 24. So that will happen after we get back from about a month in Florida.

No plans down here in Florida for Valentine's day either. We never really celebrated it which is fine with me. I think it fun for kids to exchange cards and enjoy some special treats. I enjoy my Valentine every day and have done so for 42 years!!

Kind of quiet here the last few days. What is everyone up to? We are thawing out but the snow is still quite pretty, sparkling in the sunshine. We found that we don't get our little cul-de-sac plowed out. They couldn't do it now if they wanted because it is packed hard from all the cars and trucks going over it. Maybe once it becomes slush.

The house next door to us went up for sale on Thursday. On Friday night and Saturday morning they needed a revolving door on there. LOL. Sunday it was pending. The neighbors have only been there a year and a half. We think they are moving to wherever their son got stationed. They are both retired AF with 2 girls still at home. So it will be a big change for the girls with school and all.
We didn't really get to know them. Maybe we will be able to get to know more of our neighbors when warm weather comes.

We went to the play last night that was postponed due to our storms last week. It was a great time. The play was wonderful. It was at the college and they were awesome. The play was
"Meet Me in St. Louis". We enjoyed dinner and good conversation before the show. It was good to get out with others our age. I don't know how long it's been since we've done that. Years and years to be honest. I mean I've been out with girlfriends for lunch but we haven't done anything like this as a couple. It was fun. Not sure our plans for this weekend. I think if it turns out warmer today I will get out for some walking and fresh air.

I have not heard anything either. It is worrisome. I have been reading over on the main Forum, that many regular participants can no longer get into the Chatroom and post comments. I wonder if that applies to her too? But if she isn't on FB either, that probably isn't related to her being suddenly gone.

We had a more mild week this past one and now my Azaleas are bursting out. I was surprised that the majority of buds were not killed by the deep freeze frost two weekends ago. Yay!! The bushes are beautiful when they bloom out into a big blast of pinks!

I had Brian check a few weeks back to see if Marlene was a “current “ sisterhood member and she was not. That would be a good question to ask him…if that would be keeping her from posting on the forum for some reason.
I have sent her several cards, etc., by mail but no response. I tried to contact her through FB and messenger, I think. But nothing. Just so not like our bubbly, sweet Marlee.

Full moon tonight. I enjoy that they are all given names and depending on where you live the names may be different.

We have partly cloudy skies right now but I hope we can see this full moon. It actually looked full last night down here but it wasn't the official date. I always enjoy learning about the old names for all of the full moons every year. It is a great piece of our history because the names reflect the conditions of the people who lived in the huge country.

Some of the names are quite interesting. They all have to do with the seasons or the growing things. Love the history of those sorts of things too.
