| Debbie, have you ever have blackberry dumplings? My mom used to make them with the blackberries she canned. So good on a chilly fall evening. We ate them hot. Sometimes with vanilla icecream on top. |

Oh Denise, that sounds delicious I would also love that recipe for Blackberry dumplings.
We have blackberries growing here and also Himalaya berries too which are starting to grow and ripen now here.

| I don't think she actually had a writren down recipe. She just put blackberries and sugar in a pot. When they were hotand bubbling she would add dumplings on top and cook till they were done. Then served them. I guess if you have a dumpling recipe or something like Bisquick that would work. Very easy and so delicious! |

Here's something that I thought would fit in our Just for Fun category.

For Christmas I gave my sister a gift certificate to a local charcuterie food truck. The owner offers classes as well as her creations. Last night my sister and I took a class - it was so much fun. I can now add "how to make salami roses" to my list of skills - how cool is that!
