Back porches are made for rocking and resting, for pots of flowers, and cold iced tea. Back porches are perfect for contemplating life and reading a good book and admiring the clouds and humming a soft tune. So it only stands to reason that Saturday is the perfect back-porch kinda day.

I love my back patio! It's only drawback is that it holds the heat because it's covered. But I love to sit out there in my rocking chair and read. Or my swing. :)

Love that old rocker on the back porch! LInda, I agree with you that this old porch photo is very welcoming. It seems so simple and quiet which is what makes a porch an enjoyable place to be.

That rocker would be so nice to sit and rock on a nice summery day! And what a sweet kitty!

I was looking at my calendar today to check on upcoming appointments and realized that NEXT week is the last full week of July! Can you believe it? Somehow July, despite being one hot and humid swamp down here, has gone by quickly. Has anyone else experienced this? NO matter where you live or what you do, Summers seem to have this sneaky quality of zooming away. When I was growing up, it felt like Summer would last forever, but instead it went so fast that before I knew it, we were heading back to school.

Yes, Winnie this month has gone by so fast. Summers go by so fast now a days. And it has been really hot and it has been so humid here too. My granddaughter will go back to school in a few weeks and it seems she just got out for summer break.

It seems this month has flown by! I agree Laurie, the children go back to school the middle of August and it seems like they just got out of school. We have been so busy this summer and that always makes time fly by.
