I don't want to be a book hog so others can go before me but you can add me to the list for that (and pretty much any other) book. I read anything as long as it's not horror scary stuff.

My girlfriend just told me that they are Making a movie from where Crawdads Sing. It will make a great movie and I hope it is as good as the book was. Daisy Edgar Jones an English actress will play the lead role.

The lost girls of Paris arrived today! I opened it and read the first chapter. I then had to go put it in the other room so I could get something done today LOL! Can't wait to read some more tonight :)

Debbie, the books came yesterday! THANK you so much! I can't wait to get started! I'm thinking after dinner on Sunday and I can have some quiet time!
Wanda, I think I will start with the Crawdads book. We can talk about it if you have started it!

We took a much needed afternoon off today and went to the movies. We watched the Secrets of Dumbledore but there was a preview for Where the Crawdads Sing movie! It looks good. Remember the posts about good books instead of sleep? I was up until 1:30 last night. I got caught up in The Lost Girls of Paris. What a great book! Thanks for sharing Debbie.

Before I forget - Debbie K - I gave the Lost Girls of Paris to my sister in law to read before I send it to you. She's a fast reader so it won't be delayed too long.

The Secrets of Dumbledore is worth seeing. It's not as fantastic as some of the Harry Potter movies were. (My husband and I stopped watching a lot of movies due to the stuff they're putting in them now. If you pay attention there's some of that stuff in this movie.) But overall it was good. My husband is waiting - not so patiently - for the new Top Gun that keeps getting delayed. I think it's finally scheduled for May now.

I think that's a sign of a good book! I read a murder mystery one time that was pretty thick. About 10 pages into it I thought I had it all figured out and was curious how the author would let it all unfold. About 10 pages left my mind was blown! Never seen that coming!!!

I love that! This one kept surprising me clear until the last page!
If you don't mind, my daughter would like to read it before I mail it to you? It shouldn't take her long?

That's perfectly fine! Tell her to take her time - no hurry. I was just given 7 books so that should hold me over for a bit LOL! When I'm finished with them I'll give them to my sister in law and as she's done I'll post them and see if anyone is interested in them.

I have been reading MC Beaton books with Hamish Macbeth, in Scotland. They are pretty good and I like the Cat who series by Lilian Jackson Braun.
I like light mysteries and these have cats in them who sometimes help out in different ways.
Fun and light.

I read some of those MC Beaton books! They were special because my grandma was into them and she would give them to me when she was finished before she passed them on to my aunt. There was another series with a lady but her name is escaping me at the moment.

I wish I had some for you Debbie - I'd be happy to share but my Grandma gave them away when she was finished with them. I'm not 100% sure but think the main character in the other series was Agatha Raisin.

Debbie K - My sister in law returned the Lost Girls of Paris today. I'll let you know when I make it to the post office this week.
