A place to share ideas.

Found this and thought it a fun and simple way to brighten things up a bit.

What a clever way of decorating a planter pot! I wonder how the fabric withstands watering, rain, and the other assaults of just being outside?

Just wanted to show you a little something my granddaughter worked on while here one day. I was doing some hand sewing on a gift I was making and she wanted to do something too. So she dug into my box of yo-yos and came up with a butterfly. She sewed the center of two yo-yos together and used ribbon for the body. She braided tbread to make the antenna. She was so proud of it and sent to my oldest granddaughter in Florida.

Love the butterfly!! Very creative!!

Any thoughts on using mod podge and decorative paper napkins on the terra cottage pots? I would think it would need a sealer.

This is similar to the painted rocks. People leave them around where people can find them.

That's what I was thinking Judith! A good way to brighten someone's day and they get to keep them.

Yes, Linda like the rocks but I don't know if people take those.

Denise, love the IFAQH idea. Are you going to try it? I think I am. I have lots of scrap material. Thanks for the idea.
Darlene, in the summer around our town a lot of kids groups will paint rocks and you can find them all over. I think it is a fun project for kids. But I like to do it to with my granddaughter. I help her take them around town.

My grandson found a painted rock at a campground here. It had a FB link on the back to send a picture and where you found it. Then you were to leave it somewhere else or keep it.

Love the heart idea. Worth trying. Since I am going to teach quilting to the girls who watch our cats when we are on vacation maybe I can have them make some to put out. I sure do have enough fabric scraps.
