| Nope, I've never seen one - but I have done fartleks. In track in high school we'd all get in a single file line. The leader would set the pace. The last person in line had to sprint to the front then they could set the pace. Round and round the track we'd go sprinting and jogging. Hated those!!!! There's something a little similar called Yasso's 800's for marathon training. You take the goal time of your marathon (say 4 hours) and you run 800 meters (which is half a mile) in your goal time only in minutes - this case 4 minutes. It's been a long time but I think you get a mile jog recovery. I found this workout way easier than the high school fartleks LOL! |
