I keep forgetting to show you this Amish Rug my girlfriend in Iowa sent me for my birthday. She lives close to an Amish and Mennonite Community in Kalona, Iowa. She knows how much I love anything made by the Amish as I have been to Kalona and I love the town and the folks. It was like Jeez maybe 2009 I was there and bought an old quilt made out of men’s dress jackets. It is just a wonderful little community.
Anyway, the rug was made with double knit fabric, I use it in my side of the bed. I like it because it is so colorful.
It looks easy to make for the Wildflowers that like to use their sewing machine.

Big Hugs,

I have a small one like that (not as pretty colored though) that my sister in laws mother made. Wow that was a mouthful LOL! My brother's wife's mom made it - still a mouthful! (Can you tell I'm a bit tired and rambling.) I'll have to take a picture of mine. I thought they looked easy enough to make but I don't have any of that kind of fabric.
