Heather, the book you sent me The Magnolia Palace was great! I finished it in record time! It was a bit slow in the beginning like you said then it really picked up.
I liked it because it started in 1966 then went back to 1916, I love books like that.
If anyone wants to read it let me know. It is about Art works, sculptures and the models who use to pose for them. But it is a murder mystery too. Just so good!!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I thought you might since it was like the dressmaker one you sent around (that I still have if anyone has changed their mind and wants it).

I just finished the book “On a Highland Shore”, about Vikings, Norsemen, Scottish and Irishmen, set in 1263. Fabulous book! First I have read a book from that period. I will be looking for another one to read. |

What a wonderful reception y’all have shown me in the Wildflower Hen House. Thank you and I am so happy to finally be a part of all the fun.Rather than start a new traveling book topic, I thought I would just resurrect this one so . . . .
I noticed that several of you are also in the wonderful Lost Art of Letter Writing Swap. So, I’d like to share a very special book with y’all. “Good Mail Day – A Primer for Making Eye-Popping Postal Art”. It will really get your creative juices flowing. To whet your appetite here is the very first paragraph in the book:
“The idea of putting pen to paper to write a letter has come to be seen as an antiquated concept, a ridiculously slow and old-fashioned conceit in the era of lightning-fast messaging and email. Yet, despite the fact that the demise of handwritten correspondence is nearly taken for granted, there is still a subset of people who, when confronted with a beautiful letter, sigh wistfully and say, ‘Oh, I love mail.’ You know who you are.”
Post here if you’d like to read it and I’ll get it on its way. It’s a quick read – only 126 pages. When you are done, just send it on to the next person. And the last reader can send it home to me.
